4 And _ I _ returned I and _ I _ saw DOM all _ of the _ oppression(s) which were _ being_ done under the _ sun and _ see/lo/see the _ tear[s]_ of the _ oppressed and _ there _ was _ not to/for _ them a _ comforter and _ was _ from _ the _ hand_ of their _ oppressors power and _ there _ was _ not to/for _ them a _ comforter .
2 And _ I _ commended I DOM the _ dead_ who _ already they _ had_ died more _ than the _ living who they were _ alive still .
3 And _ good more _ than _ of_ both _ of_ them DOM _ who still not he _ has_ been _ who not he _ has_ seen DOM the _ activity (the) _ evil which it _ is_ done under the _ sun .
4 And _ I _ considered I DOM all _ of the _ toil and _ DOM all _ of the _ skill_ of the _ work (cmp) it is _ envy_ of everyone from _ his _ of_ neighbour also this is _ futility and _ striving _ of wind .
5 The _ fool is _ folding DOM hands _ of_ his and _ he _ is _ eating DOM flesh _ of_ his _ own .
6 is _ good the _ fullness_ of a _ palm_ of quietness more _ than _ the _ fullness_ of the _ hollow_ of_ hands toil and _ striving _ of wind .
7 And _ I _ returned I and _ I _ saw futility under the _ sun .
8 There _ was one _ and _ there _ was _ not a _ second_ also a _ son and _ a _ brother there _ belonged _ not to _ him/it and _ there _ was _ not an _ end to/from _ all/each/any/every toil _ of_ his also eye _ of_ his [fn ] not it _ was_ satisfied wealth and _ for _ whom am _ I toiling and _ depriving DOM self _ of_ my from _ good also this is _ futility and _ is _ a _ business evil it .
9 are _ good (the) _ two_ more _ than the _ one that there _ is to/for _ them a _ reward good for _ their _ of_ toil .
10 If/because if they _ will_ fall_ down the _ one he _ will_ raise DOM companion _ of_ his and _ woe _ to _ him the _ one who _ he _ will_ fall_ down and _ there _ is _ not a _ second_ to _ raise _ him .
11 Also if they _ will_ lie_ down two _ and _ it _ will_ be_ warm to/for _ them and _ to _ one _ how will _ it_ be_ warm .
12 And _ if someone _ will _ overpower_ him the _ one the _ two_ they _ will_ stand before _ him and _ the _ thread (the) _ threefold not (in) _ quickly it _ will_ be_ torn_ apart .
13 is _ good a _ youth poor and _ wise more _ than _ a_ king old and _ a _ fool who not he _ knows to _ be _ warned still .
14 If/because from _ the _ house_ of the _ prisoners he _ came_ out to _ become _ king if/because also in _ his _ own_ of_ kingdom he _ had_ been_ born poor .
15 I _ saw DOM all _ of the _ living who _ are _ walking_ about under the _ sun with the _ youth the _ second who he _ will_ arise in _ place _ of_ him .
16 There _ is _ not an _ end to/from _ all/each/any/every the _ people to _ all/each/any/every those _ whom he _ was before _ them also the _ subsequent_ not they _ will_ rejoice in _ him/it if/because also this is _ futility and _ a _ striving_ of wind .
17 [fn ] guard foot _ of_ your [fn ] just _ as you _ will_ go to the _ house_ of the _ ʼElohīm and _ draw _ near to _ listen more _ than _ to_ give the _ fools a _ sacrifice if/because not _ they are _ knowing for _ doing evil .
