4 And _ again I and _ saw DOM all the _ oppression which [were _ being]_ doneunder the _ sun and _ see/lo/see the _ tear[s]the _ oppressed and _ no to/for _ them a _ comforterand _ on _ side oppressors _ their power and _ no to/for _ them a _ comforter2 And _ commended I DOM the _ dead who _ already they _ had_ diedmore _ thanthe _ living who they [were] _ alivestill .
3 And _ good than _ both _ them DOM [one] _ whostill not he _ has_ been[one] _ whonot he _ has_ seenDOM the _ deeds the _ evil which it _ is_ doneunder the _ sun .
4 And _ saw I DOM all [the] _ toiland _ DOM all the _ skillthe _ work (cmp) it [is] _ envyof _ everyoneof _ another _ his also this [is] _ futilityand _ chasing of _ wind5 The _ fool [is] _ foldingDOM hands _ his and _ consumes DOM flesh _ his _ own6 [is] _ good[the] _ fullnessof _ a_ palmof _ quietnessthan _ full of _ [the]_ hollow_ of_ handstoil and _ chasing of _ wind7 And _ again I and _ saw futility under the _ sun .
8 There _ [was]one _ [person]and _ no a _ second_ [person]also a _ sonand _ brother there _ [belonged]_ notto _ him/it and _ there _ is_ noan _ endto/from _ all/each/any/every toil _ his also eyes _ his [fn ] not it _ was_ satisfiedwealth and _ for _ whom [am] _ Itoiling and _ depriving DOM self _ of_ me of _ pleasure also this [is] _ futilityand _ business of _ evilit .
9 [are] _ goodthe _ two more _ thanthe _ one that there _ [is]to/for _ them a _ rewardgood in/on/at/with _ toil _ their .
10 If/because if they _ will_ fall_ downthe _ one he _ will_ raiseDOM companion _ his and _ pity _ to _ one the _ one who _ falls and _ not a _ second_ [person]to _ lift _ up_ him .
11 Also if they _ will_ lie_ downtwo _ [people]and _ keep _ warmto/for _ them and _ to/for _ one how will _ it_ be_ warm12 And _ if overpower _ him the _ one the _ two they _ will_ standbefore _ him and _ the _ cord the _ three not in/on/at/with _ quickness it _ will_ be_ torn_ apart13 [is] _ gooda _ youthpoor and _ wise than _ king old and _ foolish who not he _ knowsto _ take _ advicestill .
14 If/because of _ house the _ prison he _ came_ outto _ reign if/because also in/on/at/with _ kingdom _ his he _ had_ been_ bornpoor .
15 I _ sawDOM all the _ living the _ move _ aboutunder the _ sun with the _ youth the _ second who he _ will_ arisein _ place_ him .
16 There _ [is]_ notan _ endto/from _ all/each/any/every the _ people to _ all/each/any/every [those] _ whomhe _ wasbefore _ face/front _ them also the _ later not they _ will_ rejoicein _ him/it if/because also this [is] _ futilityand _ chasing of _ wind17 [fn ] guard steps _ your [fn ] just _ as you _ will_ goto the _ housethe _ ʼElohīm and _ draw _ nearto _ listen than _ offer the _ fools a _ sacrificeif/because not _ they [are] _ knowingfor _ doing evil .
