The warning against laziness

This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

3:6 The warning against laziness

6Brothers and sisters, we are instructing you all to avoid those who are only lazily living out their faith and not according to the practices that they were taught by us. 7You yourselves know that it’s appropriate to be imitating us, because we didn’t loaf when we were among you all, 8nor did we each food from anyone that we didn’t deserve, but we worked even when it was hard—day and night so that we wouldn’t be a burden on anybody, 9not that we didn’t have the right but in order to make ourselves a good example that you all could emulate. 10Even when we were there with you all, we had instructed you that anyone who’s not willing to work doesn’t deserve to eat.

11Yes, we have heard that there are some who associate with you all, but they’re lazy—not doing any work but just meddling, 12so we’re instructing those people and urging them by the authority of the master Yeshua Messiah, to just quietly get down to work and then they’ll have food to eat. 13But the rest of you, brothers and sisters, doing get discouraged from doing good.

14And if there’s anyone there who won’t submit to the contents of this letter, then take note of that person and don’t associate with them, in order that they might be persuaded. 15Don’t consider them as an enemy, but reprimand them like you would to a brother or sister.

6And we_are_commanding to_you_all, brothers, in the_name of_the master of_us, Yaʸsous chosen_one/messiah, to_be_avoiding you_all from every brother lazily walking, and not according_to the tradition which they_received from us.
7For/Because yourselves you_all_have_known how it_is_fitting to_be_imitating us, because not we_loafed among you_all, 8nor undeservedly bread we_ate from anyone, but in labour and hardship, night and day working, in_order that not to_burden anyone of_you_all.
9Not that not we_are_having the_right, but in_order_that ourselves an_example we_may_give to_you_all, in_order that to_be_imitating us.
10For/Because even when we_were with you_all, this we_were_commanding to_you_all, that if anyone not is_willing to_be_working, not him _let_be_eating.
11For/Because we_are_hearing some are walking among you_all lazily, nothing working, but meddling.
12And the to_such we_are_commanding and are_exhorting by the_master Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) chosen_one/messiah, that with quietness working the of_themselves bread they_may_be_eating.
13But you_all, brothers, not may_lose_heart doing_good.
14And if anyone not is_submitting to_the message of_us through the letter, this man be_taking_note, not to_be_associating_with with_him, in_order_that he_may_be_swayed.
15And_yet not as an_enemy be_considering him, but be_admonishing him as a_brother.
