1 Timothy 1

1 Tim 1:1–2

1This letter is from Paul, a missionary of Yeshua the messiah, appointed by our saviour God’s command and by Yeshua the messiah, who is our hope. 2I’m writing to Timothy,[ref] my true child in the faith: may you receive grace, mercy, and peace from God the father and from our master Yeshua the messiah.

Acts 16:1-3:

16Then Paul went to Derbe and then on to Lystra where a believer named Timothy lived. His mother was a Jewish believer, but his father was Greek. 2The believers in Lystra and Iconium spoke well of Timothy 3and Paul wanted him to accompany them on his trip so he circumcised him in advance because of the Jews in that region—everyone knew that his father was a Greek.
