EDUTH*

Hebrew word usually translated “testimony,” “witness,” or “commandment.” It is used with reference to the tabernacle (Nm 17:7-8 (RV · LV NUM 17:22–23 · Read together); 18:2 (RV · LV · Read together); 2 Chr 24:6 (RV · LV · Read together)), the ark (Ex 25:16 (RV · LV · Read together)), the Ten Commandments (Ex 31:18 (RV · LV · Read together)), and the law of God in general (Ps 19:8 (RV · LV PSA 19:9 · Read together)). The transliterated form appears only in the title of Psalm 60 (RV · LV PSA 60:3–14 · Read together) in the Hebrew phrase Shushan Eduth. The phrase means “Lily of Testimony.”
