24 Was_a _son _of seven years Yōʼāsh/(Joash) when_he_became _king and_forty year[s] he _reigned in_Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) and_name _of his/its_mother was_Tsiⱱ^yāh/(Zibiah) from_Bəʼēr- sheⱱaˊ.

2 And_ Yōʼāsh _he/it _made the_right in/on_both _eyes _of YHWH all _of the _days _of Yəhōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) the_priest/officer.

3 And_he _took to_him/it Yəhōyādāˊ wives two and_he/it _fathered sons and_daughters.

4 And_he/it _was afterwards so[fn] it _was with the _heart _of Yōʼāsh to_renew DOM the _house _of YHWH.

5 And_he _assembled DOM the_priests and_the_Lēviyyiy and_he/it _said to/for_them go _out to_the _cities _of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_collect from_all Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) money to_repair DOM the _house _of your(pl)_god _of_your(pl) from_sufficiency a _year in_a _year and_you(pl) you(pl)_will _do _quickly to_the _message/thing/matter and_not the_Lēviyyiy they _acted _quickly.

6 And_ the_king _he/it _called (to)_Yəhōyādāˊ the_chief and_he/it _said to_him/it why not have _you _required on the_Lēviyyiy to_bring from_Yəhūdāh and_from_Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) DOM the _tax _of Mosheh the _servant _of YHWH and_of_the _assembly of_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) to_the _tent _of the _transcript.

7 If/because ˊAtal^yāh the_wickedness her/its_sons/descendants they _had _broken _into DOM the _house _of the_ʼElohīm and_also all _of the _holy _things _of the _house _of YHWH they _had _used for_Baˊal.

8 And_ the_king _he/it _said and_they _made a _chest one and_they_put _it at_the _gate _of the _house _of YHWH outside_to_the.

9 And_they _made a _proclamation in_Yəhūdāh and_in_Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) to_bring to/for_YHWH the _tax _of Mosheh the _servant _of the_ʼElohīm on Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) in_wilderness.

10 And_ all _of the_officials and_all the_people _they _rejoiced and_they _brought and_they _threw to_chest until (to)_finished.

11 And_he/it _was at_the_time _of when_someone _brought DOM the_chest to the _overseer _of the_king by_the _hand _of the _Lēviyyiy and_just_as_they _saw if/because _that was_much the_money and_ the _scribe _of the_king and_the _representative _of the _priest _of the _head _he _came and_they _poured _out DOM the_chest and_they_took _it and_they_returned _it to place _of_its thus they _did to_a _day in/on_day and_they _gathered money to_increase _in _number.

12 And_he_gave _it the_king and_Yəhōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) to the _doer[s]_of the _work _of the _service _of the _house _of YHWH and_they _were hiring stonemasons and_craftsmen to_renew the _house _of YHWH and_also (to)_craftsmen _of iron and_bronze to_repair DOM the _house _of YHWH.

13 And_ the _doers _of the _work _they _worked and_ the_repair _it _went _up for_work by_hand _of_their and_they _erected DOM the _house _of the_ʼElohīm on measurement _of_its and_they_strengthened _it.

14 And_just_as_they _had _finished they _brought to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before the_king and_Yəhōyādāˊ DOM the _remainder _of the _money and_someone_made _it articles for_the _house _of YHWH articles _of service and_offering _up and_pans and_articles _of gold and_silver and_they _were offering _up burnt _offerings in_house _of YHWH continually all _of the _days _of Yəhōyādāˊ.

15 And_ Yəhōyādāˊ _he _became _old and_he _was _satisfied days and_he/it _died a _son _of one _hundred and_thirty year[s] at_death _of_his.

16 And_people_buried _him in_the _city _of Dāvid with the_kings if/because he _had _done good in_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_with the_ʼElohīm and_his/its_house(hold).

17 And_after the _death _of Yəhōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) the _leaders _of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) they _came and_they _bowed _down to/for_the _king then the_king he _listened to_them.

18 And_they _abandoned DOM the _house _of YHWH the _god _of their _ancestors _of_their and_they _served DOM the _ʼAshērāh_poles and_DOM the_idols and_ severe _anger _he/it _was towards Yəhūdāh and_Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) in_guilt _of_their this.

19 And_he _sent (is)_in_them prophets to_bring_them _back to YHWH and_they _warned (in)_them and_not they _gave _ear.

20 And_spirit god it _clothed DOM Zəkar^yāh the _son _of Yəhōyādāˊ the_priest/officer and_he _stood from_under (to)_people and_he/it _said to/for_them thus the_ʼElohīm he _says why are_you(pl) transgressing DOM the _commands _of YHWH and_not you(pl)_will _prosper if/because you(pl)_have _abandoned DOM YHWH and_he _has _abandoned you(pl).

21 And_they _conspired on/upon/above_him/it and_they_stoned _him stone[s] by_the _command _of the_king in_the _courtyard _of the _house _of YHWH.

22 And_not Yōʼāsh/(Joash) the_king he _remembered the_loyalty which Yəhōyādāˊ his/its_father he _had _done with_him/it and_he _killed DOM his/its_son and_just_as_he _died he _said YHWH may _he _see and_may _he _require.

23 And_he/it _was to_the _circuit _of the _year it _came _up on/upon/above_him/it the _army _of ʼArām and_they _came to Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_Yərūshālaim/(Jerusalem) and_they _destroyed DOM all _of the _leaders _of the _people from_the_people and_all booty _of_their they _sent to_the _king _of Dammeseq.

24 If/because with_a _small _number _of men they _came the _army _of ʼArām and_YHWH he _gave in_hand _of_their an _army to_increase _in _number exceedingly if/because they _had _abandoned DOM YHWH the _god _of their _ancestors _of_their and_DOM Yōʼāsh they _did judgement(s).

25 And_when_went_they from_him/it if/because they _had _left DOM_him/it in/on/at/with[fn] great they _conspired on/upon/above_him/it servants _of_his _own in_the _blood(s)_of the _sons _of Yəhōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) the_priest/officer and_they_killed _him on bed _of_his and_he/it _died and_they_buried _him in_the _city _of Dāvid and_not they_buried _him in_the _graves _of the _kings.

26 And_these are_the_ones _who_conspired on/upon/above_him/it Zāⱱād the _son _of Shimˊat the _ˊAmmōnī_woman and_Yəhōzāⱱād/(Jehozabad) the _son _of Shimrīt the _Mōʼāⱱite_woman.

27 And_sons _of_his and[fn] of_the _oracle on/upon/above_him/it and_the _founding of _the _house _of the_ʼElohīm THERE_they are_written on the _record _of the _scroll _of the _kings and_ ʼAmaʦ^yāh son _of_his _he _became _king in_place _of _him.
