24 was _ a_ son_ ofseven years Yōʼāsh/(Joash) when _ he _ became _ kingand _ forty year[s] he _ reignedin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ name _ ofhis/its _ mother was _ Tsiⱱyāh /(Zibiah)from sheⱱaˊ .

3 And _ he _ tookto _ him/it Yə hōyādāˊ wives two and _ he/it _ fatheredsons and _ daughters .
4 And _ he/it _ wasafterwards so [fn ] it _ waswith the _ heart_ ofYōʼāsh to _ renew DOM the _ house_ ofYHWH 5 And _ he _ assembledDOM the _ priests and _ the _ Lēviyyiy and _ he/it _ saidto/for _ them go _ outto _ the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ collect from _ all Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) money to _ repair DOM the _ house_ ofyour(pl) _ god_ of_ of from _ sufficiency a _ yearin _ a _ yearand _ you(pl) you(pl) _ will_ do_ quicklyto _ the _ message/thing/matterand _ not they _ acted_ quicklythe _ Lēviyyiy .
6 And _ he/it _ calledthe _ king (to) _ Yə hōyādāˊ the _ chief and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it why not have _ you_ requiredon the _ Lēviyyiy to _ bring from _ Yə hūdāh and _ from _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) DOM the _ tax_ ofMosheh the _ servant_ ofYHWH and _ of _ the _ assemblyof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to _ the _ tent_ ofthe _ transcript7 If/because ˊAtalyāh the _ wickedness her/its _ sons/descendants they _ had_ broken_ intoDOM the _ house_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm and _ also all _ ofthe _ holy_ things_ ofthe _ house_ ofYHWH they _ had_ usedfor _ Baˊal .
8 And _ he/it _ saidthe _ king and _ they _ madea _ chestone and _ they _ put _ itat _ the _ gate_ ofthe _ house_ ofYHWH outside _ to _ the 9 And _ they _ madea _ proclamationin _ Yə hūdāh and _ in _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) to _ bring to/for _ YHWH the _ tax_ ofMosheh the _ servant_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm on Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) in _ wilderness .
10 And _ all _ of_ they _ rejoicedthe _ officials and _ all the _ people and _ they _ broughtand _ they _ threwto _ chest until (to) _ finished .
11 And _ he/it _ wasat _ the _ time _ ofwhen _ someone_ broughtDOM the _ chest to the _ overseer_ ofthe _ king by _ the _ hand_ ofthe _ Lēviyyiyand _ just _ as _ they _ sawif/because _ thatwas _ muchthe _ money and _ the _ scribe_ of_ he _ camethe _ king and _ the _ representative_ ofthe _ priest_ ofthe _ headand _ they _ poured_ outDOM the _ chest and _ they _ took _ itand _ they _ returned _ itto place _ of_ its thus they _ didto _ a _ dayin/on _ day and _ they _ gatheredmoney to _ increase _ in_ number12 And _ he _ gave _ itthe _ king and _ Yə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) to the _ doer[s]_ ofthe _ work_ ofthe _ service_ ofthe _ house_ ofYHWH and _ they _ werehiring stonemasons and _ craftsmen to _ renew the _ house_ ofYHWH and _ also (to) _ craftsmen _ ofiron and _ bronze to _ repair DOM the _ house_ ofYHWH 13 And _ they _ workedthe _ doers_ ofthe _ workand _ the _ repair_ it _ went_ upfor _ work by _ their _ of_ hand and _ they _ erectedDOM the _ house_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm on measurement _ of_ its and _ they _ strengthened _ it14 And _ just _ as _ they _ had_ finishedthey _ broughtto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king and _ Yə hōyādāˊ DOM the _ remainder_ ofthe _ moneyand _ someone _ made _ itarticles for _ the _ house_ ofYHWH articles _ ofservice and _ offering _ upand _ pans and _ articles _ ofgold and _ silver and _ they _ wereoffering _ upburnt _ offeringsin _ house _ ofYHWH continually all _ ofthe _ days_ ofYə hōyādāˊ .
15 and _ Yə hōyādāˊ _ he _ became_ oldand _ he _ was_ satisfieddays and _ he/it _ dieda _ son_ ofone _ hundredand _ thirty year[s] at _ his _ of_ death .
16 And _ people _ buried _ himin _ the _ city_ ofDāvid with the _ kings if/because he _ had_ donegood in _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ with the _ ʼElohīm and _ his/its _ house(hold) .
17 and _ after the _ death_ ofYə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) the _ leaders_ ofthey _ cameof _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah)and _ they _ bowed_ downto/for _ the _ kingthen he _ listenedthe _ king to _ them .
18 And _ they _ abandonedDOM the _ house_ ofYHWH the _ god_ oftheir _ ancestors_ of_ of and _ they _ servedDOM the _ ʼAshērāh_ poles and _ DOM the _ idols and _ he/it _ wassevere _ angertowards Yə hūdāh and _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) in _ their _ of_ guilt this .
19 And _ he _ sent(is) _ in_ them prophets to _ bring _ them _ backto YHWH and _ they _ warned(in) _ them and _ not they _ gave_ ear20 and _ spirit god it _ clothedDOM Zə karyāh the _ son_ ofYə hōyādāˊ the _ priest/officer and _ he _ stoodfrom _ under (to) _ people and _ he/it _ saidto/for _ them thus he _ saysthe _ ʼElohīm why are _ you(pl)transgressing DOM the _ commands_ ofYHWH and _ not you(pl) _ will_ prosperif/because you(pl) _ have_ abandonedDOM YHWH and _ he _ has_ abandonedyou(pl) .
21 And _ they _ conspiredon/upon/above _ him/it and _ they _ stoned _ himstone[s] by _ the _ command_ ofthe _ king in _ the _ courtyard_ ofthe _ house_ ofYHWH 22 And _ not Yōʼāsh/(Joash) he _ rememberedthe _ king the _ loyalty which Yə hōyādāˊ he _ had_ donehis/its _ father with _ him/it and _ he _ killedDOM his/its _ son and _ just _ as _ he _ diedhe _ saidmay _ he_ seeYHWH and _ may _ he_ require23 and _ he/it _ wasto _ the _ circuit_ ofthe _ yearit _ came_ upon/upon/above _ him/it the _ army_ ofʼArām and _ they _ cameto Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ they _ destroyedDOM all _ ofthe _ leaders_ ofthe _ peoplefrom _ the _ people and _ all booty _ of_ their they _ sentto _ the _ king_ ofDammeseq .
24 If/because with _ a _ small_ number_ ofmen they _ camethe _ army_ ofʼArām and _ YHWH he _ gavein _ their _ of_ hand an _ armyto _ increase _ in_ numberexceedingly if/because they _ had_ abandonedDOM YHWH the _ god_ oftheir _ ancestors_ of_ of and _ DOM Yōʼāsh they _ didjudgement(s) .
25 And _ when _ they _ went from _ him/it if/because they _ had_ leftDOM _ him/it with _ sicknesses [fn ] great they _ conspiredon/upon/above _ him/it servants _ of_ his _ ownin _ the _ blood(s)_ ofthe _ sons_ ofYə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) the _ priest/officer and _ they _ killed _ himon bed _ of_ his and _ he/it _ diedand _ they _ buried _ himin _ the _ city_ ofDāvid and _ not they _ buried _ himin _ the _ graves_ ofthe _ kings26 and _ these are _ the_ ones _ who_ conspiredon/upon/above _ him/it Zāⱱād the _ son_ ofShimˊat the _ ˊAmmōnī_ and _ Yə hōzāⱱād/(Jehozabad) the _ son_ ofShimryt the _ Mōʼāⱱite_ .
