1:13 Shelomoh’s honour and wealth

(1 Kgs 10:26-29)

13Then Shelomoh left the sacred tent at Gibeon and returned to Yerushalem, where he reigned over Yisrael. 14Then Shelomoh built up his chariots and horsemen, and soon had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen which he stationed in the chariot cities and with him in Yerushalem.[ref] 15The king made silver and gold in Yerushalem as common as stones, and he made imported cedar timber as common as the local sycamore trees that were plentiful in the lowlands. 16Shelomoh’s horses were imported from Egypt (Heb. Mitsrayim) and from the traders in Kue (in modern southern Türkiye/Turkey).[ref] 17Egyptian chariots cost six hundred silver coins and horses cost one hundred and fifty. (The Hittites and Aramean kings were able to get them for the same price.)

15And_he/it_gave the_king DOM the_silver and_DOM the_gold in/on/at/with_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) as_as_the_stones and_DOM the_cedar he_made as_as_the_sycamore which in/on/at/with_shəfēlāh to_increase_in_number.
16And_imported_of the_horses which of_Shəlomoh’s from_Miʦrayim/(Egypt) and_from_Kue the_traders_of the_king from_Kue they_took_them in/on/at/with_price.
17And_imported and_exported from_Miʦrayim a_chariot in/on/at/with_six hundred(s) silver and_horse in/on/at/with_fifty and_one_hundred and_thus/so/as_follows to/from_all/each/any/every the_kings_of the_Ḩittiy and_kings_of ʼArām in/on/at/with_means_of_them they_brought_them_out.
