ULT JER Chapter 33

33 And the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, saying, 2 "Thus says Yahweh its maker, Yahweh forming it to establish it— Yahweh is his name: 3 'Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will declare to you great things and inaccessible things that you have not known.' 4 For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah that are torn down against the siege ramps and against the sword: 5 'They are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of the man whom in my nose and in my heat I will strike, and whom I have hidden my face from this city on account of all their wickedness. 6 Behold me bringing up for it healing and a cure, and I will heal them, and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth. 7 And I will restore the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and I will build them as at the first. 8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity that they have sinned against me, and I will forgive all their iniquities that they have sinned against me and by which they transgressed against me. 9 And it will be for me a name of joy, for praise, and for glory before all the nations of the earth who will hear of all the good that I am doing for them. And they will fear and tremble over all the good and over all the peace that I am doing for it.'

10 Thus says Yahweh: 'Again there will be heard in this place— about which you are saying, "It is a waste, without man and without beast"— in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, 11 the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of the ones saying, "Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his covenant faithfulness is forever," the ones bringing thanksgiving, to the house of Yahweh. For I will restore the captivity of the land as at the first,' says Yahweh.

12 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: 'Again there will be in this place, the desolate one— without man and without beast— and in all its cities a pasture of shepherds causing, their flock to lie down. 13 In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the foothills, and in the cities of the Negev, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the surroundings of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, again the flock will pass under the hands of the one counting them,' says Yahweh.

14 Behold, days are coming”— the declaration of Yahweh— “when I will establish the good word that I spoke to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. 15 In those days and in that time I will cause to sprout for David a branch of righteousness, and he will do justice and righteousness in the land. 16 In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell in security, and this, is what, one will call her: "Yahweh, is our righteousness." 17 For thus says Yahweh: 'A man will not be cut off for David sitting on the throne of the house of Israel, 18 nor will the priests, the Levites, a man will not be cut off from before my face, raising a burnt offering, and burning a grain offering, and making a sacrifice all the days.'"

19 And the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying, 20 "Thus says Yahweh: 'If you break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that day and night do not come in their time, 21 then also my covenant will be broken with David my servant, from there being for him a son reigning on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, my ministers. 22 As the host of the heavens cannot be counted, and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the seed of David my servant and the Levites, the ones ministering to me.'"

23 And the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying, 24 "Have you not seen what this people has spoken, saying, 'The two families that Yahweh chose in them, now he has rejected them'? Thus my people they despise from being a nation anymore before their face. 25 Thus says Yahweh: 'If, I have not established my covenant of day and night, and if I have not set the statutes of heaven and earth, 26 then also the seed of Jacob and David my servant I will reject, from taking rulers from his seed over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and I will have compassion on them.'"
