1 Happy is the man who walks not in the advice of the wicked ones,
and stands not in the pathway of sinners,
and sits not in the seat of scoffers,
2 but in the instruction of Yahweh is his delight,
and in his instruction he meditates day and night.
3 And he is like a tree set to grow on streams of water,
which gives its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither,
and he makes successful all that he does.
4 Not so the wicked ones!
But they are like the chaff that wind chases away.
5 Thus the wicked ones will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous ones.
6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous ones,
but the way of the wicked ones will perish.
