Psalm
105 Give thanks to Yahweh, call on his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
2 Sing to him, make music to him;
exclaim about all of his marvelous deeds!
3 Boast in the name of his holiness;
let the heart of the seekers of Yahweh rejoice.
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength;
search for his face continually.
5 Recall the marvelous things that he has done,
his miracles and the decrees from his mouth,
6 seed of Abraham his servant,
sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 He is Yahweh, our God.
His decrees are in all the earth.
8 He remembers his covenant forever,
the word he commanded for a thousand generations,
9 that he cut with Abraham
and his oath to Isaac.
10 He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute;
to Israel, an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, “I will give to you the land of Canaan
as the portion of your inheritance,”
12 when they were few in number,
very few, and strangers in it.
13 They wandered from nation to nation,
from a kingdom to other people.
14 He did not allow anyone to oppress them;
he rebuked kings because of them.
15 “Do not touch my anointed ones,
and do not harm my prophets.”
16 He called for a famine on the land;
he broke all of the staff of bread.
17 He sent a man ahead of them;
Joseph was sold as a servant.
18 They oppressed his feet in a shackle;
his neck went into the iron,
19 until the time of his word coming to pass.
The speaking of Yahweh refined him.
20 The king sent and released him;
the one ruling the people, and liberated him.
21 He appointed him lord of his house
and ruler over all of his possessions
22 to bind his princes according to his soul
and he taught his elders wisdom.
23 Then Israel came into Egypt,
and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 He made his people very fruitful,
and he made him stronger than his enemies.
25 He turned their hearts to hate his people,
to plot against his servants.
26 He sent Moses, his servant,
Aaron, whom he had chosen him.
27 They performed among them the matters of his signs,
and his wonders in the land of Ham.
28 He sent darkness and made it dark,
and they did not rebel against his words.
29 He turned their water into blood
and killed their fish.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs—
in the rooms of their kings!
31 He spoke, and flies came;
gnats in all their territory.
32 He made their rain hail,
fire of flames on their land.
33 He struck their vines and their figs;
he shattered the trees of their territory.
34 He spoke, and the locust came,
and the young locust, and there was no number.
35 And they ate all of the vegetation in their land;
and they ate the fruit of their ground.
36 Then he struck every firstborn in their land,
the first of all their strength.
37 He brought them out with silver and gold;
and there was no stumbling among his tribes.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed,
for the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering
and fire to light up the night.
40 He asked, and he brought quail
and satisfied them with bread from heaven.
41 He split the rock and waters gushed out;
they went forth in the desert a river.
42 For he remembered the word of his holiness
with Abraham his servant.
43 He led his people out with joy,
his chosen with shouts of triumph.
44 Then he gave to them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the toil of the peoples
45 so that they might keep his statutes
and comply with his laws.
Praise Yah!
