ULT PSA Chapter 33

33 Shout for joy in Yahweh, righteous, ones;

praise, is fitting for the upright.

2 Give thanks to Yahweh with the harp;

with a lyre of ten strings, make music to him.

3 Sing to him a new song;

be skillful to play with a shout!

4 For the word of Yahweh, is upright,

and all of his work, is in faithfulness.

5 Loving righteousness and justice,

the covenant faithfulness of Yahweh fills the earth.

6 By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made,

and by the breath of his mouth, all of their host.

7 Gathering the waters of the sea like a heap;

putting the deeps into storehouses,

8 let all of the earth fear Yahweh;

let all of the dwellers of the world be in dread of him.

9 For he, he spoke, and it came to be;

he, he commanded, and it stood.

10 Yahweh frustrates the counsel of nations;

he thwarts the plans of peoples.

11 The counsel of Yahweh stands forever,

the plans of his heart, to generation and generation.

12 The happiness of the nation which Yahweh, is its God,

the people he chose for an inheritance for himself.

13 From the heavens, Yahweh looks down;

he sees all of the sons of man.

14 From the place of his dwelling he gazes

at all of the dwellers of the earth,

15 the one forming their hearts together,

the one understanding all of their works.

16 The king is not saved by a great army;

a warrior is not delivered by great strength.

17 The horse, is a falsehood for salvation,

and by its great strength, it does not deliver.

18 Behold, the eye of Yahweh, is toward the fearers of him,

toward those hoping for his covenant faithfulness,

19 to deliver their soul from death

and to keep them alive in the famine.

20 Our soul waits for Yahweh;

he, is our help and our shield.

21 For in him our heart rejoices;

for in the name of his holiness we trust.

22 Let your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, be upon us,

just as we have hoped in you.
