Of David

I will thank you with my whole heart;

before the gods I will make music to you.

2 I will bow down toward the temple of your holiness,

and I will praise your name for your covenant faithfulness and for your trustworthiness,

for you have exalted above all of your name your word.

3 On the day that I called and you answered me,

you emboldened my soul, with power.

4 May all the kings of the earth thank you, Yahweh,

because they heard the words from your mouth.

5 May they sing of the ways of Yahweh,

for great is the glory of Yahweh.

6 Though Yahweh is high, yet he sees the lowly,

and the proud he knows from far off.

7 Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will keep me alive;

you will stretch out your hand against the nose of my enemies,

and your right hand will save me.

8 Yahweh will accomplish for my benefit;

your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, is forever.

Do not forsake the works of your hands.
