52 For the chief musician. maskil of Edomite declared Saul said him, “David house of

1 Why do you boast about harm, O warrior?

The covenant faithfulness of God all of the day.

2 Like a sharpened razor, your tongue devises calamities,

worker of betrayal!

3 You love evil more than good,

lying more than speaking righteousness. Selah

4 You love all words of destruction,

tongue of betrayal!

5 God will also tear you down forever.

He will take you away and tear you from the tent

and uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

6 And the righteous will see and fear,

and they will laugh at him.

7 “Behold, the man did not make God his refuge,

but he trusted in the abundance of his wealth;

he was strong in his calamity.”

8 But I, am like a green olive tree in the house of God.

I will trust in the covenant faithfulness of God forever and ever.

9 I will thank you forever,

for you have done, this.

I will await your name,

for, it is good before your faithful, ones.
