70 Save me, God.

≈ Yahweh, hurry here to help me.

2 Let those who try to take my life be ashamed and humiliated.

≈ Let those who take pleasure in my pain be turned back and brought to dishonour.

3 Let those who say, “Aha, aha,” be turned back because of their shame.

4 Let all those who strive to follow you, celebrate and be glad about you.

≈ Let those who rely on you to rescue them always say, “May God be praised.”

5 But I’m poor and needy. Hurry to me, God.

≈ You’re my help and you rescue me. Yahweh, don’t delay.
