101 A song by David.

101 I will sing about your loyal commitment and justice.

I’ll sing praises to you, Yahweh.

2 I will choose to live a blameless life.

When will you come to me?

I’ll walk with integrity within my own home.

3 I won’t feast my eyes on worthless things.

I hate deceitful activities—they won’t cling to me.

4 I will fight my inner perversity.

I refuse to take part in evil.

5 I’ll destroy anyone who slanders their neighour behind their back.

I won’t tolerate anyone who has a proud and arrogant attitude.

6 It’s the faithful people in the land who’ll be my mentors.

Those who walk in the way of integrity will be welcome to serve me.

7 I don’t want deceitful people living in my house.

≈Those who lie aren’t welcome in my presence.

8 Morning by morning I’ll destroy all the wicked people in the country.

≈I’ll remove everyone who does evil from Yahweh’s city.
