Psalm 36

36 For the chief musician; the servant Yahweh; David.

1 The declaration of transgression to the wicked, is in the midst of my heart:

there is no dread of God before his eyes.

2 For it is slippery to him in his eyes

to find his iniquity to hate, it.

3 The words of his mouth, are iniquity and deceit;

he has ceased to act wisely, to do good.

4 He devises iniquity on his bed;

he stations himself on the not-good road;

he does not reject evil.

5 Yahweh, your covenant faithfulness, is in the heavens;

your trustworthiness, to the clouds.

6 Your righteousness, is like the mountains of God;

your judgments, are the great deep.

You save man and beast, Yahweh.

7 How precious, is your covenant faithfulness, God!

And the sons of man take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

8 They are refreshed from the fatness of your house,

and, from the river of your delights you give them drink.

9 For with you, is the fountain of life;

in your light we see light.

10 Extend your covenant faithfulness to the knowers of you,

and your righteousness to the upright of heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come to me,

and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 There the doers of iniquity have fallen;

they are thrust down and are not able to rise.
