22 For the chief musician; Doe of Dawn.” psalm David.
1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you far from the salvation of me, far from the words of my groaning?
2 My God, I call by day, but you do not answer,
and, in the night, and there is no silence for me.
3 Yet you are holy,
sitting, in the praises of Israel.
4 In you our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried and they were rescued.
In you they trusted and they were not ashamed.
6 But I am a worm and not a man,
a reproach of mankind and despised by the people.
7 All of the ones seeing me mock me;
they open wide with the lip. They shake the head,
8 “Roll to Yahweh;
let him deliver him.
Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
9 Yet you are the one pulling me out from the womb,
making me trust upon the breasts of my mother.
10 Upon you I was cast from the womb;
from the womb of my mother, you, have been my God.
11 You, do not be far away from me, for trouble is near,
for, there is no one helping, me.
12 Many bulls surround me;
strong ones of Bashan encircle me.
13 They open their mouths against me,
a tearing and roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all of my bones are dislocated.
My heart is like wax;
it has melted within my inner parts.
15 My strength is dried up like a shard,
and my tongue is being made to cling to my gums,
and to the dust of death you lay me.
16 For dogs have surrounded me;
a company of ones doing evil have encircled me,
like the lion, my hands and my feet.
17 I can count all of my bones.
They look, and they stare at me.
18 They divide my garments among them,
and they cast lots for my clothing.
19 But you, Yahweh, do not be far away.
My strength, hurry to help me.
20 Deliver my life from the sword,
my only one from the hand of the dog.
21 Save me from the mouth of the lion,
and from the horns of wild oxen, answer me.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.
23 You who fear Yahweh, praise him!
All of the seed of Jacob, honor him,
and be terrified from him, all of the seed of Israel!
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted,
and he has not hidden his face from him,
but when he cried to him, he heard.
25 From with you my praise in the great assembly;
I will fulfill my vows before those who fear him.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied.
The ones seeking Yahweh will praise.
May your heart live forever.
27 All of the ends of the earth will remember and turn to Yahweh,
and all of the families of the nations will bow down to your face.
28 For to Yahweh the kingdom,
and he is ruling over the nations.
29 All of the fat of the earth will eat and will bow down;
to his face will kneel all of the ones going down to the dust,
even his self he kept not alive.
30 Seed will serve him;
it will be told of the Lord to the generation.
31 They will come and will declare his righteousness to a people who will be born,
that he has done, it!
