Psalm 59

59 For the chief musician; “May You David; miktam. they watched house kill him.

1 Deliver me from my enemies, my God!

Set me on high, away from the ones rising up against me.

2 Deliver me from workers of iniquity,

and save me from men of blood.

3 For behold, they lie in wait for my life;

the mighty gather against me.

Not, for my transgression

and not, for my sin, Yahweh,

4 without iniquity, they run and prepare themselves.

Awake to meet me, and see!

5 So you, Yahweh, God of armies, the God of Israel,

wake up to punish all of the nations!

Do not be gracious, to any treacherous workers of iniquity. Selah

6 They return at evening,

they growl like a dog and go around the city.

7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth,

swords, are in their lips,

for, “Who is hearing?”

8 But you, Yahweh, laugh at them.

You mock all of the nations.

9 Let me wait for you, his strength,

for God, is my stronghold.

10 The God of my covenant faithfulness will meet me.

God will make me look upon my enemies.

11 Do not slay them, lest my people forget.

Scatter them by your power and bring them down, Lord, our shield.

12 For the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips,

may they be taken in their pride,

and for the curse and for the lying they tell.

13 Consume, them in wrath;

consume, them that they, may not, be,

that they may know that God is ruling in Jacob

to the ends of the earth. Selah

14 They return at evening;

they growl like a dog and go around the city.

15 They, they wander around to eat.

If they are not full, then they lodge.

16 But I, I will sing, about your strength,

and I will sing aloud in the morning, about your covenant faithfulness!

For you are a stronghold to me

and a refuge in the day of trouble to me.

17 Let me make music to you, my strength,

for God, is my stronghold, the God of my covenant faithfulness.
