Psalm 135

135 Hallelu Yah!

Praise the name of Yahweh;

praise, him, servants of Yahweh,

2 who are standing in the house of Yahweh,

in the courts of the house of our God.

3 Hallelu Yah, for Yahweh, is good;

make music to his name, for, it is pleasant.

4 For Yah chose Jacob for himself;

Israel for his special possession.

5 For I, I know that Yahweh, is great,

and our Lord than all gods.

6 Everything that Yahweh desires, he does,

in the heavens and on the earth,

in the seas and all deeps—

7 bringing up clouds from the end of the earth,

he makes lightning bolts for the rain—

bringing out wind from his storehouses,

8 who struck the firstborn of Egypt,

from man to beast.

9 He sent signs and wonders

into your midst, Egypt,

against Pharaoh and against all of his servants,

10 who struck many nations

and slew mighty kings:

11 Sihon, king of the Amorite,

and Og, king of the Bashan,

and all the kingdoms of Canaan.

12 And he gave their land, as an inheritance,

an inheritance for Israel, his people.

13 Yahweh, your name, is to forever;

Yahweh, your remembrance, is to generation and generation.

14 For Yahweh vindicates his people,

and he has compassion on his servants.

15 The idols of the nations, are silver and gold,

the work of the hands of man.

16 A mouth, is to them, but they do not speak;

eyes, are to them, but they do not see.

17 Ears, are to them, but they do not listen;

indeed there is no breath in their mouths.

18 Their makers are like them—

everyone who is trusting in them.

19 House of Israel, bless Yahweh;

house of Aaron, bless Yahweh.

20 House of the Levite, bless Yahweh;

fearers of Yahweh, bless Yahweh!

21 Blessed, be Yahweh from Zion,

the one dwelling, in Jerusalem.
