Psalm 60

1 God, you have rejected us; you have broken through us.

You have become angry; restore us!

2 You have made the earth tremble; you have broken it.

Heal its breaches, for it shakes.

3 You have made your people see the difficult.

You have made us drink the wine of staggering.

4 You have given a banner to the ones fearing you,

to be displayed from the face of the bow. Selah

5 So that your beloved may be delivered,

save, us with your right hand and answer me.

6 God has spoken in his holiness,

“I will rejoice;

I divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.

7 To me, is Gilead, and to me, is Manasseh.

And Ephraim, is the protection of my head; Judah, my scepter.

8 Moab is the tub of my washing.

Over Edom I throw my sandal.

Over me, Philistia, shout triumphantly.”

9 Who will bring me, into the city of fortification?

Who will lead me to Edom?

10 You, God, have you not rejected us?

And you do not go out with our armies, God.

11 Give help against the enemy to us,

for the salvation of man, is futility.

12 With God we will do valor,

for he, he will trample our adversaries.
