Psalm 84

84 For the chief musician; the sons of psalm.

1 How amiable, are your dwellings,

Yahweh of Armies!

2 My soul longs and even faints

for the courts of Yahweh;

my heart and my flesh cry out

to the living God.

3 Even the sparrow has found a house,

and the swallow, a nest for herself,

where she may lay her young—

your altars, Yahweh of Armies,

my king and my God.

4 The happinesses of the dwellers of your house!

They praise you continually. Selah

5 The happinesses of the man, strength to him, is in you!

Highways, are in their heart.

6 Passing through in the Valley of Baca,

they make it a spring;

the early rain also covers, it with blessings.

7 They go from strength to strength;

each one appears before God in Zion.

8 Yahweh, God of armies, hear my prayer;

listen, God of Jacob. Selah

9 See our shield, God,

and regard the face of your anointed.

10 For a day in your courts, is better than a thousand.

I choose to stand at the threshold in the house of my God

rather than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For Yahweh God, is a sun and a shield;

Yahweh gives favor and glory.

He does not withhold good

from the ones walking in blamelessness.

12 Yahweh of Armies,

the happinesses of the man trusting in you!
