OET (OET-RV) However, he’s good at giving grace so that’s why it says, ‘God opposes proud people but gives grace to humble ones.’

OET-LV But greater he _is _giving grace.
Therefore he _is _saying:

ULT But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.”

UST If we are living in ways that do not please God, he is very kind to us. He will help us live differently if we humbly admit that we have been doing wrong. That is why this teaching is in the Bible: “God does not help those who are proud, but he does help those who are humble.”
