OET (OET-RV) In addition there are the words of the prophets that were fulfilled which you would do well to pay attention to—like a light that shines in the dark placesuntil the day dawns and the one who is the morning star rises in your hearts.OET logo mark

OET-LVAnd we_are_having the prophetic message more_confirmed, to_which you_all_are_doing well taking_heed, as to_a_lamp shining in a_dark place, until of_which day may_shining_through, and the_morning_star may_rise in the hearts of_you_all.OET logo mark

ULTAnd we have the very certain prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day might dawn and the morning star might rise in your hearts,

USTAnd we have what the prophets wrote previously, which is absolutely reliable. Pay attention to what they wrote, because it is like a lamp that is shining in a dark place that helps people see where they are going. That light will shine until the day of the return of the Messiah dawns and Jesus, the star that appears before the morning, gives your minds greater understanding.

BSB & MSBWe also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. [And] you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in [a] dark place, until [the] day dawns and [the] morning star rises in your hearts.

BLBAnd we have the more certain prophetic word, to which you do well taking heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until this day shall have dawned and the morning star shall have arisen in your hearts,

AICNTAnd we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

OEBAnd still stronger is the assurance that we have in the teaching of the prophets; to which you will do well to pay attention (as if it were a lamp shining in a gloomy place), until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

WEBBE & WMBBWe have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts,

MSG(19-21)We couldn’t be more sure of what we saw and heard—God’s glory, God’s voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You’ll do well to keep focusing on it. It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts. The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion. And why? Because it’s not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God’s Word.

NETMoreover, we possess the prophetic word as an altogether reliable thing. You do well if you pay attention to this as you would to a light shining in a murky place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

LSVAnd we have a more firm prophetic word, to which we do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day may dawn, and [the] morning star may arise in your hearts;

FBVWe also have the confirming word of prophecy that's absolutely trustworthy, and you will benefit from paying close attention to it. It's like a lamp that shines in a dark place until the day dawns, and the morning star shines to illuminate your minds.

TCNTSo we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed. You will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

T4TWe also have the Scriptures that the prophets wrote about Christ long ago, which are completely reliable/trustworthy. You should pay attention to/think carefully about► what they wrote, because what they wrote enables you to know whether what is taught to you is true or whether it is false [SIM], like a lamp that is shining in a dark place enables people to see where they are going [SIM]. You should pay attention to/think carefully aboutwhat they wrote until our Lord Jesus Christ comes back and enables you [SYN] to know God fully, which will be like when [MET] a day dawns/daylight comes► and the morning star rises and we can see it clearly.

LEBand we possess as more reliable the prophetic word, to which you do well if you[fn] pay attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

BBEAnd so the words of the prophets are made more certain; and it is well for you to give attention to them as to a light shining in a dark place, till the dawn comes and the morning star is seen in your hearts;

Moffand thus we have gained fresh confirmation of the prophetic word. Pray attend to that word; it shines like a lamp within a darksome spot, till the Day dawns and the daystar rises within your hearts —

WymthAnd in the written word of prophecy we have something more permanent; to which you do well to pay attention—as to a lamp shining in a dimly-lighted place—until day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

ASVAnd we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

DRAAnd we have the more firm prophetical word: whereunto you do well to attend, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
