OET (OET-RV) This is just like how Jannes and Jambres opposed Mosheh, and similarly these people, having depraved minds and who are unqualified concerning the faith, oppose the truth.OET logo mark

OET-LVAnd by_that manner Yannaʸs and Yambraʸs resisted against_Mōsaʸs/(Mosheh), thus also these are_resisting against_the truth, people having_ the mind _˓been˒_depraved, unqualified concerning the faith.OET logo mark

ULTAnd the way Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men having been corrupted, in the mind, unapproved concerning the faith.

USTYou know how Jannes and Jambres, Pharaoh’s magicians, tried to stop Moses from freeing the Israelites. Much like that, the false teachers I am speaking about try to stop others from learning what is true. These false teachers are people who can no longer think properly. When they claim to believe in Jesus, God does not approve of them.

BSBJust as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,[fn] so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind [and] disqualified from the faith.

MSBJust as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,[fn] so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind [and] disqualified from the faith.

BLBNow as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men being depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.

AICNTJust as {Jannes}[fn] and Jambres[fn] opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, disqualified concerning the faith.

OEBJust as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these people, in their turn, oppose the truth. Their minds are corrupted, and, as regards the faith, they are utterly worthless.

WEBBE & WMBBEven as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith are rejected.

NETAnd just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people – who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith – also oppose the truth.

LSVand even as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so these also stand against the truth, men corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith;

FBVJust like Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, these teachers also oppose the truth. They are people with corrupted minds whose supposed trust in God is a lie.[fn]

TCNTJust as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these false teachers also oppose the truth. They are corrupted in mind and have proven themselves to be unqualified with respect to the faith.

T4TJust like Jannes and Jambres long ago very much opposed Moses, so also some people now oppose the true message. Those people think only what is evil. God rejects them because they do not believe what is true.

LEBAnd just as[fn] Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, people corrupted in mind, disqualified concerning the faith.

BBEAnd as James and Jambres went against Moses, so do these go against what is true: men of evil minds, who, tested by faith, are seen to be false.

MoffFor these guides of theirs are hostile to the Truth, just as Jannes and Jambres were hostile to Moses; they are depraved in mind and useless for all purposes of faith.

WymthAnd just as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also these false teachers withstand the truth—being, as they are, men of debased intellects, and of no real worth so far as faith is concerned.

ASVAnd even as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

DRANow as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

YLTand, even as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so also these do stand against the truth, men corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith;

DrbyNow in the same manner in which Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, thus these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, found worthless as regards the faith.

RVAnd like as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

SLTAnd as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also these have withstood the truth: men corrupted in mind, not tried concerning the faith.

WbstrNow as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

KJB-1769Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

KJB-1611Now as Iannes and Iambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the trueth: men of corrupt mindes, [fn]reprobate concerning the faith.
(Modernised spelling is same as from KJB-1769 above apart from footnotes)

BshpsFor as Iannes and Iambres withstoode Moyses, so do these also resist the trueth: Men of corrupt myndes, reprobate concernyng the fayth:
(For as Yannes and Yambres withstoode Moses, so do these also resist the truth: Men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith:)

GnvaAnd as Iannes and Iambres withstoode Moses, so doe these also resist the trueth, men of corrupt mindes, reprobate concerning the faith.
(And as Yannes and Yambres withstoode Moses, so do these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.)

CvdlBut like as Iamnes and Iabres withstode Moses, euen so do these also resist the trueth: me they are of corrupte myndes, and lewde as cocernynge ye faith:
(But like as Yamnes and Yabres withstode Moses, even so do these also resist the truth: me they are of corrupt minds, and lewd as concerning ye/you_all faith:)

TNTAs Iannes and Iambres withstode Moses even so do these resist the trueth men they are of corrupt myndes and leawde as concernynge the fayth:
(As Yannes and Yambres withstode Moses even so do these resist the truth men they are of corrupt minds and leawde as concerning the faith:)

WyclAnd as Jannes and Mambres ayenstoden Moises, so these ayenstonden treuthe, men corrupt in vndirstonding, repreuyd aboute the feith.
(And as Yannes and Mambres againstoden Moses, so these stand_againstn truth, men corrupt in understonding, repreuyd about the faith.)

LuthGleicherweise aber, wie Jannes und Jambres dem Mose widerstunden, also widerstehen auch diese der Wahrheit; es sind Menschen von zerrütteten Sinnen, untüchtig zum Glauben.
(seed/Evenerweise but, as/like Yannes and Yambres to_him Moses resistanceen, also resist also this/these the/of_the truth; it are people from zerrütteten senses(n), incompetent for_the faith.)

ClVgQuemadmodum autem Jannes et Mambres restiterunt Moysi: ita et hi resistunt veritati, homines corrupti mente, reprobi circa fidem;[fn]
(Whichadmodum however Yannes and Mambres they_resisted of_Moses: so/thus and these they_resist to_the_truth, people/men corrupti mind, reprobate around/about faith;)
