78 A_poem of_ʼĀşāf[fn] hear people_my teaching_my incline ears_your_all’s to_words mouth_my.
2 I_will_open in/on/at/with_parable mouth_my I_will_pour_forth riddles from antiquity.
3 Which we_have_heard and_known_them and_fathers_our they_have_recounted to/for_us.
4 Not we_will_hide from_children_their to_generation later [we_will]_recount the_praises of_Yahweh and_might_his and_wonders_his which he_has_done.
5 And_established a_testimony in/on/at/with_Yaˊaqov/(Jacob) and_law he_appointed in/on/at/with_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) which he_commanded DOM fathers_our to_teach_them to_children_their.
6 So_that they_may_know a_generation later children [who]_they_will_be_born they_will_arise and_tell to_children_their.
7 And_put in/on/at/with_god confidence_their and_not they_will_forget the_deeds of_god and_commandments_his they_will_observe.
8 And_not they_will_be like_fathers_their a_generation stubborn and_rebellious a_generation [which]_not it_directed his/its_heart and_not it_was_faithful with god his/its_breath/wind/spirit.
9 The_people of_ʼEfərayim [were]_equipped of_shooters of_a_bow they_turned_back in/on_day of_battle.
10 Not they_kept the_covenant of_god and_in/on/at/with_law_his they_refused to_walk.
11 And_forgot deeds_he and_wonders_his which shown_them.
12 Before fathers_their he_did wonder[s] in_land of_Miʦərayim/(Egypt) the_region of_Zoan.
13 He_split_open [the]_sea and_pass_through_them and_stand [the]_waters like a_heap.

16 And_brought_out streams of_rock and_flow_down like_the_rivers water.

31 And_anger of_god it_went_up in/among_them and_killed in/on/at/with_strongest_them and_young_men of_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) he_made_bow_down.
32 In_all this they_sinned again and_not they_believed in/on/at/with_wonders_his.
33 And_they_were_ended/finished in/on/at/with_futility days_their and_years_their in/on/at/with_terror.
34 If killed_them and_sought_him and_repented and_sought_earnestly god.
35 And_remembered DOM_that god rock_their and_god Most_High redeemer_their.
36 And_deceived_him in/on/at/with_mouths_their and_in/on/at/with_tongues_their they_lied to_him/it.
37 And_heart_their not [was]_steadfast with_him/it and_not they_were_faithful in/on/at/with_covenant_his.
38 And_he [was]_compassionate he_atoned_for iniquity and_not he_destroyed_[them] and_often to_restrained anger_his and_not he_stirred_up all severe_anger_his.
39 And_remembered DOM_that [were]_flesh they a_wind [which]_goes and_not it_returns.
40 As_the_how rebelled_against_him in/on/at/with_wilderness grieved_him in/on/at/with_wilderness.
41 And_again_and_again and_tested god and_holy of_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) they_pained.

50 He_made_level a_path for_anger_his not he_kept_back from_death soul_their and_lives_their to_the_plague he_delivered_up.
51 And_struck_down every firstborn in/on/at/with_Miʦərayim [the]_beginning of_generative_power(s) in/on/at/with_tents of_Ham.
52 And_led_out like_the_sheep people_his and_guided_them like_a_flock in/on/at/with_wilderness.

56 And_tested and_rebelled_against DOM god Most_High and_decrees_his not they_kept.
57 And_turned_away and_faithless like_fathers_their they_changed like_bow of_deceit.
58 And_provoked_toanger_him in/on/at/with_high_places_their and_in/on/at/with_idols_their aroused_jealousy_his.
59 He_heard god and_very_angry and_rejected exceedingly in/on/at/with_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel).
60 And_abandoned the_tabernacle of_Shiloh [the]_tent [which]_he_had_pitched in/on/at/with_men.
61 And_he/it_gave to_the_captivity strength_his and_splendor_his in/on/at/with_hand of_[the]_foe.
62 And_gave_over to_the_sword people_his and_in/on/at/with_inheritance_his he_was_furious.
63 Young_men_his it_consumed fire and_young_women_his not they_were_praised.
64 Priests_his in/on/at/with_sword they_fell and_widows_their not they_wept.
65 And_awoke as_sleep my_master/master like_warrior overcome of_wine.
66 And_beat adversaries_his backwards a_reproach of_perpetuity he_gave them_them.

71 From_following nursing_[ewes] brought_him to_shepherd in/on/at/with_Yaˊaqov/(Jacob) people_his and_in/on/at/with_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) inheritance_his.
72 And_shepherded_them with_integrity heart_his and_in/on/at/with_skillful hands_his guided_them.
