TSNTyndale Study Notes:

Ps 111 This wisdom psalm contains many references to the works of the Lord that reveal his character. God is righteous, gracious, compassionate, faithful, just, trustworthy, upright, holy, and awe-inspiring (111:3, 4, 7, 8, 9). God’s character gives hope in the covenant relationship (111:5). He rescued Israel from Egypt (111:9), gave them the land (111:6), and provides for his people (111:5). However, God demands that the beneficiaries of this relationship also be people of righteousness and integrity.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

They are established forever

(Some words not found in UHB: established for, ever to,ever performed in/on/at/with,faithfulness and, uprightness )

This means that Yahweh’s instructions are unchangeable and will last forever. If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “He has established them forever” or “They will last forever”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

to be observed faithfully and properly

(Some words not found in UHB: established for, ever to,ever performed in/on/at/with,faithfulness and, uprightness )

This could mean: (1) Yahweh has given his instructions in a faithful and proper manner or (2) his people are to observe Yahweh’s instructions in a faithful and proper manner. If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “for his people to observe them faithfully and properly”
