4 And _ Dāvid _ captured from _ him/it one _ thousandchariot[s] and _ seven _ ofthousand(s) horsemen and _ twenty thousand man on _ footand _ Dāvid _ hamstrung DOM all _ ofthe _ chariot _ horsesand _ left from _ him/it one _ hundredchariot[s] .
5 And _ ʼArām _ came Dammeseq to _ help to _ Hₐdadˊezer the _ king_ ofTsōⱱāʼ and _ Dāvid _ struck _ downin/on/at/with _ ʼArām twenty and _ two thousand man .
6 And _ Dāvid _ he/it _ assignedin/on/at/with _ ʼArām _ ofDammeseq and _ ʼArām _ he/it _ wasto _ Dāvid subjects (of) _ tribute[who] _ brought_ ofand _ YHWH _ gave _ victoryto _ Dāvid in/on/at/with _ all where he _ went7 And _ Dāvid _ he/it _ tookDOM the _ shields_ ofthe _ gold which they _ wereon the _ servants_ ofdadˊezer and _ he/it _ brought_ them Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
8 And _ from _ Tibhath and _ from _ Cun the _ cities_ ofdadˊezer Dāvid he _ tookbronze much very in/on/at/with _ it Shə lomoh he _ madeDOM the _ sea_ ofthe _ bronze and _ DOM the _ pillars and _ DOM the _ articles_ ofthe _ bronze .
9 and _ Tou _ he/it _ listenedthe _ king_ ofmāt if/because _ thatDāvid he _ had_ defeatedDOM all _ ofthe _ army_ ofdadˊezer the _ king_ ofTsōⱱāʼ .
10 And _ sent DOM Hadoram his/its _ son to the _ king Dāvid to _ ask [fn ] to _ him/it for _ peace and _ to _ congratulate _ him on that he _ had_ foughtin/on/at/with _ Hₐdadˊezer and _ defeated _ him if/because (the) _ man_ of(the) _ wars_ ofTou Hₐdadˊezer he _ wasand _ all/each/any/every articles _ ofgold and _ silver and _ bronze .
11 Also DOM _ them he _ consecratedthe _ king Dāvid to/for _ YHWH with the _ silver and _ the _ gold which he _ had_ carried_ offfrom _ all the _ nations from _ ʼEdōm and _ from _ Mōʼāⱱ and _ from _ sons _ ofˊAmmōn and _ from _ Fə lishtiy and _ from _ ˊAmālēq .
12 And _ ʼAⱱīshay the _ son_ ofTsə rūyāh /(Zeruiah) he _ struck_ downDOM ʼEdōm in/on/at/with _ Valley _ ofSalt eight- teen thousand .
13 And _ he/it _ assignedin/on/at/with _ ʼEdōm garrisons and _ all _ of_ they _ wereʼEdōm subjects to _ Dāvid and _ YHWH _ gave _ victoryDOM Dāvid in/on/at/with _ all where he _ went14 And _ Dāvid _ reigned over all _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he/it _ wasdoing justice and _ righteousness to/from _ all/each/any/every people _ of_ his .
15 And _ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the _ son_ ofTsə rūyāh [was] _ overthe _ army and _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) the _ son_ ofʼAḩīlūd [was] _ recorder16 And _ Tsādōq/(Zadok) the _ son_ ofʼAḩīţūⱱ and _ ʼAḩīmelek the _ son_ ofʼEⱱyātār [were] _ priestsand _ Shavsha [was] _ secretary17 And _ Bə nāyāh the _ son_ ofYə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) [was] _ overthe _ Kə rētī and _ the _ Fə lētī and _ the _ sonsof _ Dāvidthe _ chief _ officialsat _ side _ ofthe _ king’s .
