8 and _ Dāvid _ he/it _ listened and _ sent DOM Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and _ DOM all _ of [the] _ army the _ mighty .
9 And _ the _ people_ of _ they _ went_ out of _ ˊAmmōn and _ drew _ up battle the _ entrance_ of the _ city and _ the _ kings who they _ had_ come by _ themselves _ of in/on/at/with _ field .
10 And _ Yōʼāⱱ _ he/it _ saw if/because _ that it _ was the _ face_ of the _ battle to _ him/it before and _ rear and _ chose from _ all chosen _ [man] in/on/at/with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ arrayed to _ against ʼArām .
11 And _ DOM the _ rest_ of the _ people he _ put in/on/at/with _ command _ of ʼAⱱīshay his/its _ woman and _ arrayed to _ against the _ people_ of ˊAmmōn .
12 And _ he/it _ said if it _ will_ be_ [too]_ strong too _ for_ me ʼArām and _ be to/for _ me for _ help and _ if the _ people_ of ˊAmmōn they _ will_ be_ [too]_ strong too _ for_ you and _ help _ you .
13 Be _ strong and _ courageous for people _ of_ our and _ for the _ cities_ of god _ of_ our and _ YHWH the _ good in/on/at/with _ sight _ of_ his he _ will_ do .
14 And _ Yōʼāⱱ _ drew _ near and _ the _ people which with _ him/it to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/before ʼArām for _ the_ battle and _ fled from _ before _ of_ him .
15 And _ the _ sons of _ ˊAmmōn they _ saw if/because _ that it _ had_ fled ʼArām and _ fled also they from _ face/in _ front_ of ʼAⱱīshay his/its _ woman and _ they _ came the _ city _ to and _ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _ came Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
16 and _ ʼArām _ he/it _ saw if/because _ that they _ had_ been_ defeated to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/before Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ sent messengers and _ brought _ out DOM ʼArām which from _ beyond _ of the _ river and _ Shophach the _ commander_ of the _ army_ of Hₐdadˊezer at _ head _ of_ them .
17 And _ told to _ Dāvid and _ gathered DOM all _ of Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he/it _ passed_ through the _ Yardēn/(Jordan) and _ came to _ them and _ drew _ up_ forces against _ them and _ Dāvid _ set _ inarray to _ ʼArām _ against battle and _ fought with _ him/it .
18 And _ ʼArām _ fled from _ to/for _ face/front/presence Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Dāvid _ killed of _ Aramean seven _ of thousand(s) charioteer[s] and _ forty thousand man on _ foot and _ DOM Shophach the _ commander_ of the _ army he _ killed .
19 And _ the _ servants_ of _ they _ saw of _ Hₐdadˊezer if/because _ that they _ had_ been_ defeated to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/before Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ made _ peace with Dāvid and _ became _ subject_ to_ him and _ not ʼArām it _ was_ willing to _ help DOM the _ people_ of ˊAmmōn again .
