17:10 Yehoshafat’s rise

Southern kingdom

10 All the surrounding kingdoms were afraid of Yahweh, so they didn’t attack Yehoshafat. 11 Some of the Philistines brought tribute to Yehoshafat, including lots of silver. Also, the Arabians brought him flocks totalling 7,700 rams and 7,700 goats. 12 So Yehoshafat continued to become more powerful, and he built palaces in Yehudah as well as storehouses in the cities. 13 He accumulated many supplies in Yehudah’s cities.

He also had many powerful warriors in Yerushalem. 14 These are the leaders and numbers from each tribe:

From the tribe of Yehudah, Adnah was the commander and he had three-hundred thousand warriors,
15 His assistant Yehohanan commanded 280,000,
16 Next was Zikri’s son Amasyah who volunteered for Yahweh and commanded two-hundred thousand warriors.
17 From the tribe of Benyamin, Elyada led two-hundred thousand men equipped with bows and shields,
18 next to him was Yehozavad with 180,000 equipped for war.

19 Those were the ones who served the king, along with the ones that the king had placed in Yehudah’s fortified cities.

10 And_he/it _was the _dread _of YHWH on all _of the _kingdoms _of the _lands which were_around Yəhūdāh and_not they _waged _war with Yəhōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat).
11 And_from the_Fəlishtiy were_bringing to_Yəhōshāfāţ tribute and_silver a _load also the_ˊArāⱱī were_bringing to_him/it flock[s] rams seven _of thousand(s) and_seven hundred(s) and_male _goats seven _of thousand(s) and_seven hundred(s).
12 and_ Yəhōshāfāţ _he/it _was going and_becoming _great to (to)_upwards and_he/it _built in_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) fortresses and_cities _of stores.
13 And_property much it _belonged to_him/it in_the _cities _of Yəhūdāh and_men _of war mighty_men_of strength in_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem).
14 And_these group[s]_of_were_their to_the _house _of their _ancestors _of_of of_Yəhūdāh commanders _of thousands ˊAdnāh was_the_commander and_were_with_him mighty_men_of strength three hundred(s) thousand.
15 and_on his/its_hand Yəhōḩānān/(Jehohanan) was_the_commander and_were_with_him two _hundred and_eighty thousand.
16 and_on his/its_hand ˊAmaş^yāh the _son _of Zikrī who_volunteered to/for_YHWH and_were_with_him two _hundred thousand mighty_man_of strength.
17 and_from Binyāmīn a _mighty_man_of strength ʼElyādāˊ and_were_with_him men_equipped _of bow and_shield two _hundred thousand.
18 and_on his/its_hand Yəhōzāⱱād/(Jehozabad) and_were_with_him one _hundred and_eighty thousand men_equipped _of war.
19 these were_the_ones _who_served DOM the_king (from)_besides _of those_whom he _put the_king in_the _cities _of (the)_fortification in_all Yəhūdāh.
