17 and _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) _ he _ became_ kinghis/its _ son in _ place _ of_ himand _ he _ strengthened_ himselfon Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
2 And _ he _ putan _ armyin _ all the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh (the) _ fortified and _ he/it _ gavegarrisons in _ land of _ Yə hūdāhand _ in _ the _ cities_ ofʼEfrayim which he _ had_ capturedʼĀşāʼ his/its _ father .
3 And _ he/it _ wasYHWH with Yə hōshāfāţ if/because he _ walkedin _ the _ ways_ ofDāvid his/its _ father (the) _ former and _ not he _ sought(to) _ Baˊal .
4 If/because (to) _ the_ god _ ofhis/its _ father he _ soughtand _ in _ his _ of_ commands he _ walkedand _ not according _ to _ the_ deed[s]_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
5 And _ YHWH _ he _ establishedDOM the _ kingdom in _ his/its _ hand and _ all _ of_ they _ gaveYə hūdāh/(Judah) tribute to _ Yə hōshāfāţ and _ he/it _ wasto _ him/it wealth and _ honour to _ increase _ in_ number6 his/its _ heart And _ it _ was_ highin _ the _ ways_ ofYHWH and _ again he _ removedDOM the _ high_ places and _ DOM the _ ʼAshērāh_ poles from _ Yə hūdāh .
7 and _ in _ year _ ofthree of _ his _ reigning he _ sent(to) _ his _ of_ officials (to) ḩayil and _ (to) _ ˊOⱱadyāh and _ (to) _ Zə karyāh and _ (to) _ Nə tanʼēl and _ (to) _ Mīkāyə hū to _ teach in _ the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh .
8 And _ were _ with _ them the _ Lēviyyiy Shə maˊyāh and _ Nə tanyāh and _ Zə ⱱadyāh and _ ˊAsāhʼēl and _ Shə mīrāmōt [fn ] and _ Yə hōnātān/(Jonathan) and _ ʼAdoniyyāh and _ Ţōⱱiyyāh and _ good ʼₐdoniyyāh ū the _ Lēviyyiy and _ were _ with _ them ʼElīshāˊma and _ Yə hōrām/(Jehoram) the _ priests .
9 And _ they _ taughtin _ Yə hūdāh and _ was _ with _ them the _ book_ ofthe _ law_ ofYHWH and _ they _ went_ roundin _ all the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh and _ they _ taughtamong _ people .
10 And _ he/it _ wasthe _ dread_ ofYHWH on all _ ofthe _ kingdoms_ ofthe _ landswhich were _ aroundYə hūdāh and _ not they _ waged_ warwith Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) .
11 And _ from the _ Fə lishtiywere _ bringingto _ Yə hōshāfāţ tribute and _ silver a _ loadalso the _ ˊArāⱱī were _ bringingto _ him/it flock[s] rams seven _ ofthousand(s) and _ seven hundred(s) and _ male _ goatsseven _ ofthousand(s) and _ seven hundred(s) .
12 and _ Yə hōshāfāţ _ he/it _ wasgoing and _ becoming _ greatto (to) _ upwards and _ he/it _ builtin _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) fortresses and _ cities _ ofstores .
13 And _ property much it _ belongedto _ him/it in _ the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh and _ men _ ofwar mighty _ _ ofstrength in _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
14 And _ these group[s] _ of_ were _ theirto _ the _ house_ oftheir _ ancestors_ of_ of of _ Yə hūdāh commanders _ ofthousands ˊAdnāh was _ the_ commander and _ were _ with _ him mighty _ _ ofstrength three hundred(s) thousand .
15 and _ on his/its _ hand Yə hōḩānān/(Jehohanan) was _ the_ commander and _ were _ with _ him two _ hundredand _ eighty thousand .
16 and _ on his/its _ hand ˊAmaşyāh the _ son_ ofZikrī who _ volunteered to/for _ YHWH and _ were _ with _ him two _ hundredthousand mighty _ man _ ofstrength .
17 and _ from Binyāmīn a _ mighty_ man _ ofstrength ʼElyādāˊ and _ were _ with _ him _ equipped_ ofbow and _ shield two _ hundredthousand .
18 and _ on his/its _ hand Yə hōzāⱱād/(Jehozabad) and _ were _ with _ him one _ hundredand _ eighty thousand _ equipped_ ofwar .
19 these were _ the_ ones _ who_ servedDOM the _ king (from) _ besides _ ofthose _ whomhe _ putthe _ king in _ the _ cities_ of(the) _ fortification in _ all Yə hūdāh .
