16:16 The coming punishment

16 Listen, Yahweh declares:

I’ll send for many fishermen to fish the people out.

After that, I’ll send for many hunters

to hunt them from under every mountain and hill, and from the crevices in the rocks

17 because I’m watching everything they do

and their wicked behaviour can’t be hidden from me.

18 Firstly, I’ll pay back double for their disobedience and wickness,

because of their polluting my land with their detestable carvings,

and because they filled my inheritance with their disgusting idols.”

16 HERE_I am_about _to _send for_fishermen[fn] many the _utterance _of YHWH and_they_will _fish _them _out and_after thus I _will _send for_many hunters and_they_will _hunt _them from_under every _of mountain and_from_on every _of hill and_from_the _clefts _of the _rocks.
17 If/because eyes _of_my are_on all _of ways _of_their not they _have _been _hidden from_before_face _of_me and_not iniquity _of_their it _has _been _concealed from_before eyes _of_my.
18 And_I _will _repay first the _double _of their _iniquity _of_their and_sin _of_their because they_have _profaned DOM land _of_my with_the _corpse[s]_of their _detestable _things _of_their and_abominations _of_their they _have _filled DOM inheritance _of_my.
