4.5 Irascimini. In cordibus vestris. AUG. TSNTyndale Study Notes:

4:5 Offer sacrifices in the right spirit: Redirecting emotions toward the Lord prevents a godly individual from doing too much self-reflection (40:6-8; 51:17).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

(Some words not found in UHB: disturbed and,not sin ponder in/on/at/with,heart,your_all's on/upon bed,your_all's and, silent selah )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of righteousness, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: “sacrifices that are righteous”

Note 2 topic: writing-poetry

צֶ֑דֶק וּ֝בִטְח֗וּ\n

(Some words not found in UHB: disturbed and,not sin ponder in/on/at/with,heart,your_all's on/upon bed,your_all's and, silent selah )

The words righteousness and trust form the poetic center of this psalm. Righteousness is mentioned in verse 1 and trust is the same word translated as “securely” in verse 8. You may wish to explore whether you can reflect this symmetry in a natural way in your language.
