13 and_Yōḩānān/(Johanan) the_son_of Qārēaḩ and_all the_commanders_of the_armies which in_the_field they_came to Gədal^yāh to_(the)_Mizpah.
14 And_they_said to_him/it at_all_(know)[fn] do_you_know if/because_that Baalis the_king_of the_people_of ˊAmmōn he_has_sent DOM Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh to_strike_you life and_not he_believed to/for_them Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām.
15 And_Yōḩānān the_son_of Qārēaḩ he_said to Gədal^yāh in_secrecy at_Mizpah to_say let_me_go please and_let_me_strike_down DOM Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh and_anyone not he_will_know to/for_what will_he_strike_you life and_will_they_be_scattered all_of Yəhūdāh who_have_gathered to_you and_will_it_perish the_remnant_of Yəhūdāh/(Judah).
16 And_ Gədal^yāh _he/it_said the_son_of ʼAḩīqām to Yōḩānān the_son_of Qārēaḩ do_not do[fn] DOM the_thing the_this if/because falsehood you are_speaking concerning Ishmael.
41 and_he/it_was in_month the_seventh Ishmael he_came the_son_of Nətan^yāh the_son_of ʼElīshāˊma one_of_the_offspring_of the_royalty and_the_chiefs_of the_king and_ten men with_him/it to Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām to_(the)_Mizpah and_they_ate there food together at_Mizpah.
2 And_ Ishmael _he/it_rose_up the_son_of Nətan^yāh and_the_ten_of the_men who they_were with_him/it and_they_struck_down DOM Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām the_son_of Shāfān with_sword and_he_killed DOM_him/it whom he_had_appointed the_king_of Bāⱱel on_the_earth.
3 And_DOM all_of the_Yəhūdī/(Judeans) who they_were with_him/it with Gədal^yāh at_Mizpah and_DOM the_ones_from_Kasdiy who they_were_found there DOM the_men_of (the)_war Ishmael he_struck_down.
4 And_he/it_was in_the_day the_second of_killing DOM Gədal^yāh and_anyone not he_knew.
5 And_they_came men from_Shəkem from_Shiloh and_from_Shomrōn eighty man shaven_of beard and_torn_of clothes and_having_cut_themselves and_an_offering and_frankincense was_in_their_of_hand to_bring the_house_of YHWH.
6 And_ Ishmael _he/it_went_out the_son_of Nətan^yāh to_meet_them from (the)_Mizpah going going and_weeping and_he/it_was just_as_met DOM_them and_he/it_said to_them come to Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām.
7 and_he/it_was just_as_they_came into the_middle_of the_city and_he_slaughtered_them Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh into the_middle_of the_cistern he and_the_men who with_him/it.
8 And_ten men they_were_found among_them and_they_said to Ishmael do_not kill_us if/because there_belongs to/for_us hidden_treasures in_the_field wheat(s) and_barley(s) and_oil and_honey and_he_refrained and_not he_killed_them in_the_middle relatives_of_their.
9 And_the_cistern where he_threw there Ishmael DOM all_of the_corpses_of the_men whom he_had_struck_down by_the_hand_of Gədal^yāh it was_the_one_which he_had_made the_king ʼĀşāʼ from_face/in_front_of Baasha the_king_of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) DOM_him/it Ishmael he_filled the_son_of Nətan^yāh those_slain.
10 And_he_took_captive Ishmael DOM all_of the_rest_of the_people which was_in_Mizpah DOM the_daughters_of the_king and_DOM all_of the_people which_remained at_Mizpah whom Nəⱱūzarʼₐdān he_had_appointed the_chief_of the_bodyguards DOM Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām and_he_took_them_captive Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh and_he/it_went to_pass_over to the_people_of ˊAmmōn.
11 and_ Yōḩānān/(Johanan) _he/it_listened the_son_of Qārēaḩ and_all the_commanders_of the_armies who with_him/it DOM all_of the_evil which Ishmael he_had_done the_son_of Nətan^yāh.
12 And_they_took DOM all_of the_men and_they_went to_do_battle with Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh and_they_found DOM_him/it to water great which is_in_Gibeon.
13 And_he/it_was just_as_saw all_of the_people which was_with Ishmael DOM Yōḩānān the_son_of Qārēaḩ and_DOM all_of the_commanders_of the_armies who with_him/it and_they_rejoiced.
14 And_ all_of _they_turned_round the_people which Ishmael he_had_taken_captive from (the)_Mizpah and_they_turned_back and_they_went to Yōḩānān the_son_of Qārēaḩ.
15 And_Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh he_escaped with_eight men from_face/in_front_of Yōḩānān and_he/it_went to the_people_of ˊAmmōn.
16 and_he/it_took Yōḩānān the_son_of Qārēaḩ and_all the_commanders_of the_armies who with_him/it DOM all_of the_rest_of the_people which he_had_brought_back from_with Ishmael the_son_of Nətan^yāh from (the)_Mizpah after he_had_struck_down DOM Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām men the_men_of (the)_war and_women and_little_one[s] and_court-officials whom he_had_brought_back from_Gibeon.
17 And_they_went and_they_lived at_Geruth_of mmm[fn] which is_beside Bēyt- leḩem to_go to_go Miʦrayim/(Egypt).
18 From_face/in_front_of the_ones_from_Kasdiy if/because they_were_afraid from_their_face/front if/because Ishmael he_had_struck_down the_son_of Nətan^yāh DOM Gədal^yāh the_son_of ʼAḩīqām whom the_king_of he_had_appointed of_Bāⱱel on_the_earth.
