OET (OET-RV) Perfect goodness can only be found in you, my master, but we have shame on our faces, as we have today. Yes, the men of Yehudah, the inhabitants of Yerushalem, and all Yisrael whether near or far away, in all the countries where you’ve driven them because of their treachery against you.![]()

ULT To you, Lord, is righteousness, but to us, is shame of faces as this day, to a man of Judah and to the dwellers of Jerusalem and to all of Israel, the near and the far in all of the lands where you have driven them there for their transgression that they transgressed against you.
UST Lord, you were right to punish us for sinning so seriously against you. But as a result, we are now in a shameful condition. This is true of the Israelites who still live in Jerusalem and other places in Judea. It is also true of the Israelites whose enemies you allowed to take away to other countries. Some of those countries are near Israel, and others are farther away.
BSB & MSB To You, O Lord, [belongs] righteousness but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, and all Israel near and far, in all the countries to which You have driven us because of our unfaithfulness to You.

MSG (1-8)“Darius, son of Ahasuerus, born a Mede, became king over the land of Babylon. In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, was meditating on the Scriptures that gave, according to the Word of God to the prophet Jeremiah, the number of years that Jerusalem had to lie in ruins, namely, seventy. I turned to the Master God, asking for an answer—praying earnestly, fasting from meals, wearing rough penitential burlap, and kneeling in the ashes. I poured out my heart, baring my soul to God, my God:
