OET (OET-RV) Similarly the messiah didn’t take the honour of being chief priest upon himself, but the one who spoke to him said:
 ⇔ ‘You’re my son;
 ⇔ today I have given birth to you.’

OET-LVThus also the chosen_one/messiah not himself glorified to_be_become a_chief_priest, but the one having_spoken to him:
son of_me are you, I today have_bore you.

ULT In the same way also, Christ did not glorify himself to become a high priest. Instead, the one having spoken to him said,
 ⇔  “You are my Son;
 ⇔  today I have fathered you.”

UST Similarly, the Messiah too did not decide to become a glorious ruling priest on his own. Rather, God the Father chose him to be a ruling priest when he said to him,
 ⇔ “On this day, I have declared to everyone that I am your father, and you are my son!”

BSB So also Christ did not take upon Himself the glory of becoming a high priest, but He was called by the One who said to Him:
 ⇔ “You are My Son;
⇔ today I have become Your Father.”[fn]

5:5 Psalm 2:7; literally today I have begotten You

BLB So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become a high priest, but the One having said to Him: "You are My Son, today I have begotten You."

AICNT So also Christ did not glorify himself to become a high priest, but the one who said to him, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you.”[fn]

5:5, Psalms 2:7

OEB In the same way, even the Christ did not take the honour of the high priesthood on himself, but he was appointed by him who said to him –
 ⇔ “You are my Son; this day I have become your Father”;

WEB So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him,
 ⇔ “You are my Son.
⇔ Today I have become your father.”

WMB So also Messiah didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him,
 ⇔ “You are my Son.
⇔ Today I have become your father.”

NET So also Christ did not glorify himself in becoming high priest, but the one who glorified him was God, who said to him, “ You are my Son! Today I have fathered you,”

LSV So also the Christ did not glorify Himself to become Chief Priest, but He who spoke to Him: “You are My Son, today I have begotten You”;

FBV In just the same way Christ did not honor himself by becoming high priest. It was God who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.”[fn]

5:5 Quoting Psalms 2:7

TCNT In the same way, Christ did not glorify himself in becoming a high priest, but was appointed by the one who said to him,
 ⇔ “Yoʋ are my Son;
 ⇔ today I have begotten yoʋ.”

T4T Similarly, Christ also did not honor himself by appointing himself to become a Supreme Priest. Instead, God appointed him by saying to him what he never said to any other priest, what the Psalmist wrote in the Scriptures,
 ⇔ You (sg) are my Son! Today I have declared that I am your Father!

LEB• Thus also Christ did not glorify himself to become high priest, but the one who said to him,“You are my Son, today I have begotten you,”[fn]

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

5:1-10 This section addresses the appointment of the Son of God as a superior High Priest. The focal text is Ps 110:4, which reveals God’s oath that the Son would be a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

οὐχ ἑαυτὸν ἐδόξασεν γενηθῆναι ἀρχιερέα

not himself glorified /to_be/_become /a/_chief_priest

Alternate translation: “did not make himself great by choosing to be a high priest”

Note 1 topic: writing-quotations

ὁ λαλήσας πρὸς αὐτόν

the the_‹one› /having/_spoken to him

Here the author quotes from the Old Testament Scriptures. He does not introduce the words as a quotation but instead introduces them as words that God has spoken to Christ. However, the audience would have understood that these were quotations from the Old Testament, specifically from Psalm 2:7. Since the author introduces the quotation as words that God has said to Christ, you should introduce the quotation as words that someone has said. If your readers would not know that the quotation is from the Old Testament, you could include a footnote or use some other form to identify it. Alternate translation: “the one who said these words to him declared”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis

ὁ λαλήσας πρὸς αὐτόν

the the_‹one› /having/_spoken to him

The author is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. If it would be helpful in your language, you could supply these words from the first half of the sentence. Alternate translation: “the one who spoke to him glorified him to become a high priest, saying” or “he was glorified to become a high priest by the one who declared to him”

Υἱός μου εἶ σύ, ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε

Son ˱of˲_me are you I today /have/_bore you

Since the author repeats here the same words that he quoted in 1:5, you should translate these words in exactly the same way as you did in that verse.
