Et fundes super, etc., ut quemadmodum misericorditer pro nobis mortuus est, nos quoque pro fratribus usque ad mortem misereamur. De sartagine. Sicut enim sartago media inter ignem et cibum, sic quodammodo crux inter impassibilem divinitatem et humanitatem, quæ igne passionis est assata. Et sicut in sartagine mollia durescunt, dura mollescunt, sic in passione crucis lapidea corda mollita, mollia et fluxa solidata. De sartagine ergo sacrificium offerre est de mysterio crucis cum veneratione disputare.

Here, a verb and its object come from the same root. The word piece translates a verb that comes from the same root as the noun pieces. The use of related words adds clarity and emphasis to the statement. If your language can repeat words for emphasis and your language has comparable terms that you can use in your own translation, it would be appropriate to use that construction here.

The pronoun it refers to the grain offering, whether baked in an oven (see 2:4) or cooked on a griddle (see 2:5). It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “Place either kind of grain offering into pieces”
