5 And _ said to/for _ the _ kingif [is] _ onthe _ king good and _ if he _ is_ goodservant _ of_ your to _ your _ face (cmp) send _ me to Yə hūdāh/(Judah) to the _ city_ ofthe _ tombs_ ofancestors’ _ of_ my and _ rebuild _ it .
6 And _ he/it _ saidto _ me the _ king and _ the _ queen [was] _ sittingbeside _ him until when will _ it_ bejourney _ of_ your and _ when will _ you_ returnand _ pleased to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king and _ send _ me and _ set to _ him/it an _ appointed_ time7 And _ said to/for _ the _ kingif [is] _ onthe _ king good letters let _ people_ giveto _ me to the _ governors_ ofthe _ other_ side_ ofthe _ river that grant _ passage_ me until that I _ will_ cometo Yə hūdāh .
8 And _ letter to ʼĀşāf [the _ one_ who]_ kept_ ofthe _ forest which to/for _ the _ kingthat he _ will_ giveto _ me wood(s) to _ make _ beamsDOM the _ gates_ ofthe _ fortress which by _ the_ house and _ for _ wall _ ofthe _ city and _ for _ the_ house which I _ will_ goto _ him/it and _ granted to _ me the _ king for _ hand _ ofgod _ of_ my the _ gracious on _ me .
9 And _ came to the _ governors_ of[fn ] of _ the_ other_ side_ ofthe _ river and _ gave to/for _ them DOM the _ letters_ ofthe _ king and _ sent with _ me the _ king commanders _ of[the] _ armyand _ cavalry .
10 and _ Şanⱱallaţ _ he/it _ listenedthe _ Ḩōrōnite and _ Ţōⱱiyyāh the _ official the _ ˊAmmōnī and _ displeased to/for _ them displeasure great (cmp) someone he _ had_ cometo _ seek good of _ people _ ofof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)11 And _ came to Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ was there days three .
12 And _ got _ upnight I and _ men a _ fewwith _ me and _ not I _ had_ toldto/for _ ʼĀdām/humankind what god _ of_ my putting into heart _ of_ my for _ doing for _ Yə rūshālam and _ animal there _ [was]_ notwith _ me if/because (if) the _ cattle/livestock which I [was] _ ridingin/on/at/with _ her .

16 And _ the _ officials not they _ knewwhere had _ I_ goneand _ what [was] _ Idoing and _ to _ the_ Yə hūdī/(Jews) and _ to _ the_ priests and _ to _ the_ nobles and _ to _ the_ officials and _ to _ rest _ ofthe _ doer[s]_ ofthe _ work until thus not I _ had_ told17 And _ said to _ them you _ all[are] _ seeingthe _ trouble which we in/on/at/with _ her (cmp) Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) [is] _ desolateand _ gates _ of_ its they _ have_ been_ burnedin/on/at/with _ fire come and _ rebuild DOM the _ wall_ ofYə rūshālam and _ not we _ will_ beagain a _ reproach18 And _ told to/for _ them DOM the _ hand_ ofgod _ of_ my (cmp) it [had _ been]_ goodupon _ me and _ also the _ words_ ofthe _ king which he _ had_ spokento _ me and _ they _ saidlet _ us_ ariseand _ build and _ strengthened hands _ of_ their to _ the_ good .
19 and _ Şanⱱallaţ _ he/it _ listenedthe _ Ḩōrōnite and _ Ţōⱱiyyāh the _ official the _ ˊAmmōnī and _ Geshem the _ ˊArāⱱī and _ mocked to/for _ us and _ despised at _ us and _ they _ saidwhat the _ thing the _ this which you _ all[are] _ doingagainst the _ king [are] _ you_ allrebelling .
20 And _ gave DOM _ them word and _ said to/for _ them the _ god_ ofthe _ heavens he he _ will_ grant_ successto/for _ us and _ we servants _ of_ his we _ will_ ariseand _ build and _ have _ you _ allthere _ [is]_ nota _ shareand _ right and _ memorial in/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālam .
