OET 1COR chapter 16

16 Now concerning the fund-raising for the believers: You all must do the same as what I got the assemblies in Galatia to do.[ref] 2 Every Sunday, each one of you should put something aside from whatever you’ve earnt, so that when I come we won’t need any collections then. 3 Then, when I arrive, I’ll write letters to send with those you recommend to take to Jerusalem with your gift, 4 but if it’s appropriate for me to go as well, then they can travel with me.

16 And concerning the collection which is for the holy ones, as I _directed to _the assemblies of_ the _Galatia, thus also you _all do.
2 In _every first day of_the_week, each of _you _all by himself let _be _putting, storing _up whatever anything wishfully may _be _being _prospered, in _order _that not whenever I _may _come, then collections may _be _becoming.
3 And whenever I _may _arrive, whomever if you _all _may _approve, by letters these I _will _be _sending, to _carry _away the grace of _you _all to Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim).
4 And if worthy it _may _be which also _I to _be _going, with me they _will _be _going.

16:5 Instructions for travellers

5 After I’ve been to Macedonia I’ll come there. Yes, I’m going through Macedonia,[ref] 6 but perhaps I’ll spend some time with you—maybe even the whole winter. That way, you all could help me on my way wherever I decide to go next, 7 because I don’t want to see you all now just in passing, but I’d like to stay with you all for a some time if the master permits.

8 But I’ll stay here at Ephesus until the Pentecost celebrations[ref] 9 because a wide door has opened for me to be effective here, even though many are opposing me.

10 Now if Timothy arrives, make sure that he has nothing for him to be afraid of there, because he’s doing the master’s work just like me.[ref] 11 So don’t let anyone despise him, but help him on his way in peace, so that he can come to me because I’m expecting him along with the brothers.

12 And then concerning the brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He didn’t want to go at the present time, but he’ll go when he has another opportunity.

5 But I _will _be _coming to you _all, whenever Makedonia I _may _pass _through, For/Because Makedonia I _am _passing _through.
6 With and you _all having _happened I _will _be _continuing _with, or I _will _be _wintering, in _order _that you _all me may _send _forward, where if I _may _be _going.
7 Not for I _am _wanting you _all now in passage to _see, I _am _hoping for a_time certain to _remain _on with you _all, if the master may _permit.
8 But I _will _be _remaining _on in Efesos until the pentecost, 9 for/because a_door to _me has _opened _up great and active, and opposing many are.
10 And if may _come Timotheos, be _seeing that fearlessly he _may _become with you _all, because/for the the_work of_the_master he _is _doing, as I.
11 Not therefore anyone him may _scorn.
But send _forward him in peace, in _order _that he _may _come to me, because/for I _am _awaiting him with the brothers.
12 But Concerning Apollōs the brother, much I _am _exhorting him that he _may _come to you _all with the brothers, and certainly not it _was ^his_will that now he _may _come, but he _will _be _coming whenever he _may _have _opportunity.

16:13 Final messages and greetings

13 Stay alert and stay grounded in the faith. Be strong and courageous. 14 Everything you do, do in love.

15 Now brothers and sisters, you all know that Stephanas’ family were the first ones in Achaia to believe, and since then they’ve devoted themselves to serving the believers, so I urge you all[ref] 16 to submit yourselves to people like them, in fact to everyone who works and cooperates.

17 I’m pleased that Stefanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus came because they’ve given what you all couldn’t, 18 because they refreshed my spirit and yours also, so you should show appreciation to such people.
