12 Now these are the ones having come to David at Ziklag while he was restrained from the face of Saul, the son of Kish. And they were among the warriors, helpers of the battle. 2 Kissers of the bow, being right-handed and being left-handed with stones and with arrows with the bow, from the brothers of Saul, from Benjamin: 3 The head, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah and Jehu the Anathothite 4 and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a warrior among the 30 and over the 30, and Jeremiah and Jahaziel and Johanan and Jozabad the Gederathite, 5 Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, Shephatiah the Haruphite, 6 Elkanah and Isshiah and Azarel and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites, 7 and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham from Gedor.

One, the least was for 100, and the greatest was for 1,000. 15 These are they who passed over the Jordan in the first month, and it was filling over all of its banks, and they made all of the valleys flee, to the east and to the west.

16 And some from the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David. 17 And David went out to their faces, and he answered and said to them: “If you have come to me in peace to help me, a heart will be to me toward you for unity. But if to betray me to my adversaries, with no violence in my palms, may the God of our fathers see and judge.” 18 And the Spirit clothed Amasai, the head of the 30: “For you, David, and with you, son of Jesse! 19 And some from Manasseh fell to David when he came with the Philistines to battle against Saul. But they did not help them, for by counsel, the lords of the Philistines sent him away, saying, “By our heads, he will fall to his master Saul.” 20 When he went to Ziklag, they fell to him from Manasseh: Adnah and Jozabad and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad and Elihu and Zillethai, heads of thousands that were to Manasseh. 21 And they, they helped with David against the troop, for all of them were warriors of valor, and they were commanders in the army. 22 For at the time of day by day, they were coming to David to help him, until to a great camp, like the camp of God.

23 And these are the numbers of the heads of the equipped for war. They came to David at Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him according to the mouth of Yahweh. 24 The sons of Judah, carriers of the shield and the spear, 6,800 equipped of war. 25 From the sons of Simeon, warriors of valor for war, 7,100. 26 From the sons of Levi, 4,600. 27 And Jehoiada, the leader from Aaron, and with him 3,700. 28 And Zadok, a young man, a warrior of valor, and the house of his father, 22 commanders. 29 And from the sons of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, 3,000. And until then the majority of them were keeping the keeping of the house of Saul. 30 And from the sons of Ephraim, 20,800 warriors of valor, men of names, according to the house of their fathers. 31 And from the half of the tribe of Manasseh, 18,000 who were designated by names to come to make David king. 32 And from the sons of Issachar, knowers of understanding of the times to know what Israel should do, their heads, 200, and all of their brothers at their mouth. 33 From Zebulun, goers out of war, arrayers of battle with all of the weapons of battle, 50,000, and to keep rank without a heart and a heart. 34 And from Naphtali, 1,000 commanders, and with them with shield and spear, 37,000. 35 And from the Danites, arrayers of battle, 28,600. 36 And from Asher, goers out of war to array for battle, 40,000. 37 And from across the Jordan, from the Reubenite and the Gadite and half of the tribe of Manasseh, with all of the weapons of war for battle, 120,000.

38 All of these men of battle, keepers of the array, came with a whole heart to Hebron to make David king over all of Israel. And also all of the rest of Israel had one heart to make David king. 39 And they were there with David three days eating and drinking, for their brothers had prepared for them. 40 And also the ones near to them, unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread on donkeys and on camels and on mules and on oxen: food of flour, fig cakes and raisins cakes and wine and oil and oxen and sheep in abundance, for joy was in Israel.
