9 And all of Israel were enrolled, and behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel. And Judah were exiled to Babylon because of their transgression. 2 And the first dwellers who were in their holding in their cities were Israel, priests, Levites, and temple servants. 3 And they dwelled in Jerusalem from the sons of Judah and from the sons of Benjamin and from the sons of Ephraim and Manasseh. 4 Uthai, the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani from the sons of Perez, the son of Judah. 5 And from the Shilonite: Asaiah, the firstborn, and his sons. 6 And from the sons of Zerah: Jeuel and their brothers, 690. 7 And from the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah, 8 and Ibneiah, the son of Jeroham, and Elah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah, 9 and their brothers according to their generations, 956. All of these men were heads of fathers according to the house of their fathers.

10 And from the priests: Jedaiah and Jehoiarib and Jachin 11 and Azariah, the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the leader of the house of God, 12 and Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai, the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer, 13 and their brothers, heads of the house of their fathers, 1,760, warriors of valor for the work of the service of the house of God.

14 And from the Levites: Shemaiah, the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, from the sons of Merari, 15 and Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal and Mattaniah, the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph, 16 and Obadiah, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah, the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, a dweller in the villages of the Netophathite.

17 And the gatekeepers: Shallum and Akkub and Talmon and Ahiman and their brothers. Shallum was the head. 18 And until now at the gate of the king from the east, they are gatekeepers for the camps of the sons of Levi. 19 And Shallum, the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers were over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entrance. 20 And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, was leader over them to their faces; Yahweh was with him. 21 Zechariah, the son of Meshelemiah, was the gatekeeper of the entrance to the tent of meeting. 22 All of them were chosen as gatekeepers at the thresholds, 212. They were enrolled in their villages. They, David and Samuel the seer established in their trust. 23 And they and their sons were over the gates of the house of Yahweh, of the house of the tent, as guards. 24 The gatekeepers were to the four winds: east, west, north, and south. 25 And their brothers in their villages were to come for seven days from time to time with these. 26 For in their trust, they, the four chiefs of the gatekeepers, they were Levites, and they were over the chambers and over the treasuries of the house of God. 27 And they lodged around the house of God, for the watch was upon them. And they were over the opening, and to morning, to morning.

33 And these, the singers, heads of fathers of the Levites, in the chambers were free, for day and by night they were over them in the work. 34 These, heads of fathers of the Levites according to their generations, were heads. These dwelled in Jerusalem.

35 And they dwelled in Gibeon, the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, and the name of his wife was Maacah. 36 And his firstborn son was Abdon, and Zur and Kish and Baal and Ner and Nadab 37 and Gedor and Ahio and Zechariah and Mikloth. 38 And Mikloth fathered Shimeam. And also they, opposite their brothers, lived in Jerusalem with their brothers. 39 And Ner fathered Kish. And Kish fathered Saul. And Saul fathered Jonathan and Malchi Shua and Abinadab and Esh Baal. 40 And the son of Jonathan: Merib Baal. And Merib Baal fathered Micah. 41 And the sons of Micah: Pithon and Melech and Tahrea. 42 And Ahaz fathered Jarah. And Jarah fathered Alemeth and Azmaveth and Zimri. And Zimri fathered Moza. 43 And Moza fathered Binea. And Rephaiah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son. 44 And to Azel were six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru and Ishmael and Sheariah and Obadiah and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
