TSNTyndale Study Notes:

2:19 I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn: The promise of a bountiful crop calls attention to God’s faithfulness to his covenant people. The Temple was not yet complete, but God was promising to extend its blessings at once.
• But from this day onward I will bless you: God was gracious in responding immediately to his people’s efforts toward spiritual renewal and obedience (see Ps 111:4-5).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

הַע֤וֹד הַזֶּ֨רַע֙ בַּמְּגוּרָ֔ה

?,still the,seed in/on/at/with,barn

Yahweh is using the question form for emphasis. If you would not use the question form for that purpose in your language, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: “The seed is not yet in the storehouse!” or “There is no seed in the storehouse!”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / quotesinquotes

מִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה אֲבָרֵֽךְ׃ס

from/more_than the=day the=this (Some words not found in UHB: ?,still the,seed in/on/at/with,barn and=unto the,vine and,the,fig_tree and,the,pomegranate and=tree the, not נָשָׂא from/more_than the=day the=this אֲבָרֵךְ )

If you have decided to translate this oracle so that it does not contain quotations within a quotation, you can translate the second-level quotation in this verse as an indirect quotation. Alternate translation: “From this day he will bless you’”

Note 3 topic: grammar-connect-logic-contrast

מִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה

from/more_than the=day the=this

Yahweh is drawing a strong contrast. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could indicate this in your translation by using a word that introduces a strong contrast. Alternate translation: “Nevertheless, from this day”
