ULT And it was told to them that they should not harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, if not the men who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
UST God told the locusts that they should not eat up all the grass on the ground and all the plants and all the leaves on the trees as locusts usually do. God told the locusts just to sting the people who did not have the mark on their foreheads that showed they belonged to God.

9:1-21 The fifth and sixth trumpets demonstrate how God’s judgment affects the people of the world and detail how futile it is to resist God. While these judgments should lead to repentance, they do not. Sin has such control over people that they choose to worship the evil forces that torture and murder them rather than repent and turn to God.
