ULT And to the house of Saul a servant belonged, and his name was Ziba, and they called him to David. And the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?”
¶  And he said, “Your servant.”

UST They told him that there was in Jerusalem a man named Ziba who had been a servant of Saul’s family. So David sent messengers to summon Ziba. When he arrived, the king asked him, “Are you Ziba?” He replied, “Yes, your Majesty, I am.”

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

9:1-13 David showed mercy to Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s crippled son. The incident is sandwiched between David’s victories in battle (8:1-18, 10), indicating that David also had concern for individuals and a compassionate heart.
