BSB Therefore Jacob’s guilt will be atoned for,
⇔ and the full fruit of the removal of his sin will be this:
 ⇔ When he makes all the altar stones
⇔ like crushed bits of chalk,
 ⇔ no Asherah poles or incense altars
⇔ will remain standing.

OEB On this condition therefore
⇔ will Israel’s guilt be forgiven –
 ⇔ when she puts away her sin
⇔ the issue thereof will be this –
 ⇔ that all the stones of her altars
⇔ she will grind, like chalk, to powder;
 ⇔ that sacred poles and sun-pillars
⇔ she never will raise again.

WEB Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars shall rise no more.

NET So in this way Jacob’s sin will be forgiven,
 ⇔ and this is how they will show they are finished sinning:
 ⇔ They will make all the stones of the altars
 ⇔ like crushed limestone,
 ⇔ and the Asherah poles and the incense altars will no longer stand.

LSV Therefore the iniquity of Jacob is covered by this,
And this [is] all the fruit—To take away his sin,
In his setting all the stones of an altar,
As chalkstones beaten in pieces,
They do not rise—Asherim and images.

FBV Through this experience Jacob's guilt will be forgiven. The removal of their sins will come to fruition when they take all the pagan altar stones and crush them to pieces like chalk—no Asherah poles or altars of incense will be left standing.

T4T Yahweh did that in order to punish us for our sins,
⇔ and remove our guilt.
 ⇔ As a result of our being exiled, all the altars to other gods in Israel will be demolished,
⇔ and we will be forgiven for the sins that we have committed.

BRN Therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be taken away; and this is his blessing, when I shall have taken away his sin; when they shall have broken to pieces all the stones of the altars as fine dust, and their trees shall not remain, and their idols shall be cut off, as a thicket afar off.
