20 And _ kings strong they _ wereover Yə rūshelēm/(Jerusalem) and _ having _ masteryover _ all _ ofthe _ region_ beyondthe _ river and _ tribute tax and _ toll was _ being_ paidto _ them .
21 Now make a _ decree[fn ] to _ make _ to_ ceasethe _ men these and _ the _ city this not it _ will_ be_ builtuntil from _ me the _ decree it _ will_ be_ made22 And _ cautious be negligence _ ofto _ do concerning this why the _ damage will _ it_ grow_ greatto _ injury _ ofkings .
23 then from that the _ copy_ ofthe _ letterof ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ [fn ] Oh/the _ king it _ was_ read_ aloudbefore Rə ḩūm and _ Shimshay the _ scribe and _ their _ of_ associates they _ wentin _ haste to _ Yə rūshelēm/(Jerusalem) to the _ Yə hūdī/(Jews) and _ they _ made_ to_ ceasethem with _ force and _ power .
