8 And_he _came Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem) in_month (the)_fifth it was_the _year _of (of)_the_seventh of_king.

9 If/because on_day_one of_month (the)_first it was_the _beginning _of the _going _up from_Bāⱱel and_on_day_one of_month (the)_fifth he _came to Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem) according_to _the _hand _of his/its_god (the)_good on/upon/above_him/it.

10 If/because ˊEzrāʼ he _had _directed heart _of_his to_study DOM the _law _of YHWH and_to_do_it and_to_teach in_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) decree and_judgement.

11 and_this is_(the)_copy _of the _letter which he _gave the_king ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ to_ˊEzrāʼ the_priest/officer the_scribe the _scribe _of the _matters _of the _commands _of YHWH and_regulations _of_his on Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel).

15 And_to_carry silver and_gold which Oh/the_king and_counsellors _of_his they _have _offered _freely to_god of _Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) who is_in_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem) abode _of_his.

16 And_all/each/any/every the_silver and_the_gold which you _will _find in_all _of the _province _of Bāⱱel with the _freewill _offering _of the _people and_the_priests who _have_offered _freely for_the _house _of their _god which is_in_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).

17 As_to because this diligently you _will _buy with_the_silver this bulls rams lambs and_their _grain _of_offerings and_their _drink _of_offerings and_you _will _offer them on the_altar of the _house _of your(pl)_god which is_in_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).

18 And_whatever that to_you[fn][fn] and_to brothers _of_your[fn][fn] it _is _good with_the _rest _of the _silver and_the_gold to_do according_to _the _will _of your(pl)_god you(pl)_will _do.

19 And_the_vessels which have _been_given to/for_you(fs) for_the _worship _of the _house _of your _god make _complete before the _god _of Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).

20 And_the _rest _of the _thing[s]_needed _of the _house _of your _god which it _will _fall to/for_you(fs) to_give you _will _give from the _house _of the _treasures _of Oh/the_king.

21 And_from_me I ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ Oh/the_king it _is _made a _decree to_all/each/any/every the_treasurers who are_in_the _region _beyond the_river that all _of that he_will _ask _you(pl)_for ˊEzrāʼ the_priest the _scribe _of the _law of the _god _of the_heavens diligently let _it _be _done.

22 Up _to silver talents one _hundred and_unto wheat(s) kor_measures one _hundred and_unto wine baths one _hundred and_unto baths oil one _hundred and_salt which not is_writing.

23 All that is_according _to the _decree _of the _god _of the_heavens let _it _be _done exactly for_the _house _of the _god _of the_heavens that why will _it _be anger on the _kingdom _of Oh/the_king and_sons _of_his.

24 And_to_you(pl) we _are_making _known that all _of the_priests and_the_Lēviyyiy the_singers the_gatekeepers the _temple_servants and_the _servants _of the _house _of the_god this tribute tax and_toll not is_authorized to_throw on_them.

25 And_you Oh _ˊEzrāʼ according_to _the _wisdom _of your _god which is_in_hand _of_your appoint judges and_judges that they _will _be judging[fn] to/from_all/each/any/every the_people which is_in_the _region _beyond the_river to/from_all/each/any/every those _who_know _of (of)_the _laws _of your _god and_one_who not he_is_knowing you(pl)_will _instruct.

26 And_all who not he _will _be doing the_law of god _of_your and_the_decree of Oh/the_king diligently (the)_judgement let _it _be done from_him whether to_death or to_banishment[fn] or to_confiscation _of properti(es) and_to_imprisonment(s).

27 YHWH be_blessed the _god _of our _ancestors _of_our who he _has _put like_this in_the _heart _of the_king to_beautify DOM the _house _of YHWH which is_in_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).

28 And_towards_me he _has _extended covenant _loyalty to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before the_king and_counsellors _of_his and_to/for_all the _officials _of the_king the_powerful/mighty(pl) and_I I _strengthened _myself according_to _the _hand _of YHWH god _of_my on_me and_I_assembled from_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) leaders to_go _up with_me.
