4 The_son_of Zəraḩ^yāh the_son_of ˊUzziy the_son_of Buqqiy.
5 The_son_of ʼAⱱīshūˊa the_son_of Pinḩāş the_son_of ʼElˊāzār the_son_of ʼAhₐron the_priest/officer the_chief.
6 That ˊEzrāʼ he_came_up from_Bāⱱel and_he [was]_a_scribe skilled in/on/at/with_law_of Mosheh which he_had_given YHWH the_god_of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_granted to_him/it the_king for_hand_of YHWH his/its_god on/upon/above_him/it all_of asked_of_he.
7 and_went_up from_(the)_sons of_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_from the_priests and_the_Lēviyyiy and_the_singers and_the_gatekeepers and_the_temple_servants to Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem) in_year seven of_ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ the_king.
8 And_came Yərūshelēm in/on/at/with_month the_fifth it [was]_the_year_of the_seventh of_the_king.
9 If/because in/on/at/with_first of_the_month the_first it [was]_the_beginning_of the_journey from_Bāⱱel and_in/on/at/with_first of_the_month the_fifth he_came to Yərūshelēm for_hand_of his/its_god the_gracious on/upon/above_him/it.
10 If/because ˊEzrāʼ he_had_directed heart_of_his to_study DOM the_law_of YHWH and_to_do and_to_teach in/on/at/with_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) decree and_ordinances.
11 and_this [is]_(the)_copy_of the_letter which he_gave the_king ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ to_ˊEzrāʼ the_priest/officer the_scribe the_scribe_of the_matters_of the_commandments_of YHWH and_statutes_of_his on Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel).
12 ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ the_king_of kings_the to_ˊEzrāʼ priest_the the_scribe_of law_the (diy)_of the_god_of the_heavens perfect and_now.
13 From_me a_decree it_is_made (diy)_that every_of [one_who]_volunteers in/on/at/with_kingdom_of_my from people_the Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_priests_of_their and_levites_the to_go to_Yərūshelēm with_you he_will_go.
14 As_to because that from before Oh/the_king and_seven_of counselors_of_his [you_are]_sent to_enquire on Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_about_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem) in/on/at/with_law_of god_of_your which in/on/at/with_hand_of_your.
15 And_to_bring silver and_gold which Oh/the_king and_counselors_of_his they_have_offered_freely to_god of_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) who in/on/at/with_Yərūshelēm dwelling_of_him.
16 And_all/each/any/every [the]_silver and_gold which you_will_find in/on/at/with_whole_of the_province_of Bāⱱel with the_freewill_offering_of people_the and_priests_the [who_have]_offered_freely for_house_of god_of_their which in/on/at/with_Yərūshelēm.
17 As_to because this diligently you_will_buy in/on/at/with_money_the this bulls rams lambs and_grain_offerings_of_their and_drink_offerings_of_their and_offer them on altar_the (diy)_of the_house_of god_of_your_all’s which in/on/at/with_Yərūshelēm.
18 And_whatever that to_you[fn][fn] and_to brothers_of_your[fn][fn] it_is_good in/on/at/with_rest_of silver_the and_gold_the to_do according_to_will_of god_of_your_all’s you_all_will_do.
19 And_vessels_the which [have_been]_given to/for_you(fs) for_service_of the_house_of god_of_your make_complete before the_god_of Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).
20 And_anything_else_of the_thing[s]_needed_of the_house_of god_of_your which it_will_fall to/for_you(fs) to_provide you_will_give from the_house_of the_treasures_of Oh/the_king.
21 And_from_I I ʼArtaḩshashtāʼ Oh/the_king it_is_made a_decree to_all/each/any/every treasurers_the who in/on/at/with_province_beyond river_the (diy)_that all_of that ask_you_all ˊEzrāʼ priest_the the_scribe_of law_the (diy)_of the_god_of the_heavens diligently let_it_be_done.
22 Up_to silver talents one_hundred and_unto wheat(s) kor_measures one_hundred and_unto wine baths one_hundred and_unto baths oil one_hundred and_salt which not [is]_writing.
23 All that [is]_according_to the_decree_of the_god_of the_heavens let_it_be_done exactly for_house_of the_god_of the_heavens that why will_it_be anger on the_kingdom_of Oh/the_king and_sons_of_his.
24 And_to_you_all [we_are]_making_known (diy)_that all_of priests_the and_levites_the singers_the doorkeepers_the temple_servants_the and_servants_of the_house_of the_god this tribute tax and_toll not [is]_authorized to_impose on_them.
25 And_you Oh_ˊEzrāʼ according_to_wisdom_of god_of_your which in/on/at/with_hand_of_you appoint judges and_judges that they_will_be judging[fn] to/from_all/each/any/every people_the which in/on/at/with_province_beyond river_the to/from_all/each/any/every [those_who]_know_of (of)_the_laws_of god_of_your and_who not [he_is]_knowing you_all_will_instruct.
26 And_all who not he_will_be doing law_the (diy)_of god_of_your and_the_decree (diy)_of Oh/the_king diligently judgement_the let_it_be done on_him whether for_death or for_banishment[fn] or for_confiscation_of properti(es) and_for_imprisonment.
27 YHWH [be]_blessed the_god_of fathers_of_our who he_has_put as_this in/on/at/with_heart_of the_king to_glorify DOM the_house_of YHWH which in/on/at/with_Yərūshelēm/(Jerusalem).
28 And_to_me he_has_extended covenant_loyalty to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_king and_counselors_of_his and_to/for_all the_officials_of the_king the_powerful/mighty(pl) and_I I_strengthened_myself for_hand_of YHWH god_of_my upon_me and_gathered from_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) leaders to_go_up with_me.
