OET PHP chapter 4

4 So then, my dear brothers and sisters, my delight and my crown, I miss you all, so guard your faith in the master, dear ones. 2 Euodia and Syntyche, you both need to be thinking the same way in the master, 3 and yes, I’m asking you, my true companion, to help those two women who worked hard with me to share the good message, along with Clement and the others who also worked with me and whose names are written in the book of life.

4 Always be happy in the master. I’ll say that again: be happy. 5 Let your gentleness be visible to everyone. The master is close. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but handle all situations by letting God know your requests—praying and telling God your needs, and also thanking him. 7 Then God’s peace which is above human understanding will guard your hearts and your thinking in Messiah Yeshua.

8 Brothers and sisters, here’s the rest of what you all should be considering: anything that’s true or dignified, anything that’s right or pure, anything that’s lovely or admirable, and anything that’s virtuous or praiseworthy. 9 Continue to do everything you all learnt or received from me, and everything you heard or saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you all.

4 So _then, brothers of _me beloved and longed for, joy and crown of _me, thus be _standing _firm in the_master, beloved.
2 Euodia I _am _exhorting, and Suntuⱪaʸ I _am _exhorting, the same thing to _be _thinking in the_master.
3 Yes, I _am _asking also you, genuine companion, be _giving _help to _them, who in the good _message contended _together with _me, with both Klaʸmaʸs and the rest of_the_fellow-workers of _me, whose the names are in the_scroll of _life.
4 Be _rejoicing in the_master always, again I _will _be _saying, be _rejoicing.
5 The gentle of _you _all let _be _known to _all people.
The master near.
6 Nothing be _worrying, but in everything, the by _prayer and the petition with thanksgiving, the requests of _you _all let _be _being _made _known to the god.
7 And the peace of_ the _god which being _above all mind, will _be _guarding the hearts of _you _all and the thinking of _you _all in chosen _one /messiah Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa).
8 For/Because _the rest, brothers, as _much _as is true, as _much _as dignified, as _much _as right, as _much _as pure, as _much _as lovely, as _much _as admirable, if any virtue, and if any praise, these things be _counting.
9 What both you _all _learned and you _all _received, both you _all _heard and you _all _saw, in me, these things be _practicing, and the god of_ the _peace will _be with you _all.

4:10 Paul’s appreciation of their practical help

10 I was extremely happy in the master once you all reestablished your consideration for my situation. Well, you were thinking about it, but lacked any opportunity to act, 11 not that I’m talking about being in poverty, because I’ve learnt to be content in any situation. 12 I’ve experienced being humbled with little, and I’ve experienced having plenty, but I’ve grown through every one of those experiences, sometimes being satisfied and sometimes hungry, sometimes having plenty and other times not enough. 13 In every situation I stay strong because of the one who strengthens me.

14 However, you all did well to participate in my hardships. 15 I’ve know all you Philippians, that when I left Macedonia to begin preaching the good message, no other assembly shared with me in giving and receiving—only you there. 16 [ref]Even when I was in Thessalonica, once you sent me what I needed—actually twice— 17 not that I was looking for a gift from my perspective, but because I was thrilled to see you all accumulating heavenly rewards. 18 [ref]But now I’ve received everything I need. I have plenty now that Epaphroditus arrived with what you all sent. It was like a fragrant sacrifice that’s acceptable to God and which pleases him. 19 My God will meet all of your needs from his riches in heaven in Messiah Yeshua— 20 may our God and father be honoured throughout all the ages.

10 But I _was _elated in the_master greatly, that now once you _all _revived which for me to _be _thinking, to which also you _all _were _thinking, but you _all _were _lacking _season.
11 Not that concerning poverty I _am _speaking, because/for I learned in whatever situations I _am content to _be.
12 I _have _known both to _be _being _humbled, I _have _known and to _be _being _plentiful.
In everything and in all things I _have _been _enlightened, both to _be _being _satisfied and to _be _hungering, both to _be _being _plentiful and to _be _being _deficient.
13 All things I _am _being _strong in the one strengthening me.
14 However well you _all _did, having _participated of _me in _the tribulation.
15 But have _known also you _all, Filippaʸsios, that in the_beginning of _the good _message, when I _came _out from Makedonia, not _one with _me assembly shared in the_matter of _giving and receiving, except not/lest you _all only.
16 Because even in Thessalonikaʸ, both once and twice, because/for the need to _me you _all _sent.
17 Not that I _am _seeking _after the gift, but I _am _seeking _after the fruit which being _plentiful to the_account of _you _all.
18 But I _am _receiving _fully all things, and I _am _being _plentiful, I _have _been _filled, having _received from Epafroditos the things from you _all, an_aroma of_a_sweet _fragrance, a_sacrifice acceptable, well _pleasing to_ the _god.
19 But the god of _me will _be _filling all the_need of _you _all, according _to the riches of _him in glory in chosen _one /messiah Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa).
20 And to _the god and father of _us be the glory to the ages of _the ages.
Truly.

4:21 The ending greetings

21 Greet all of the believers there in the name of Messiah Yeshua. The brothers and sisters with me here also greet you all, 22 along with all the believers here, especially those in Caesar’s household.

23 May the grace from the master Yeshua Messiah be with all your spirits. May it be so.
