BSB “Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD.
§ “A plumb line,” I replied.
§ “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:

OEB And the Lord said to me,
 ⇔ ‘What do you see, Amos?’
¶ And I answered,
 ⇔ ‘A plumb line,’
¶ Then the Lord said,
 ⇔ ‘Watch: I am setting a plumb line
 ⇔ in the midst of my people Israel,
 ⇔ I will no longer overlook their crookedness.

WEB Yahweh said to me, “Amos, what do you see?”
¶ I said, “A plumb line.”
¶ Then the Lord said, “Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

NET The Lord said to me, “What do you see, Amos?” I said, “Tin.” The sovereign One then said,
 ⇔ “Look, I am about to place tin among my people Israel.
 ⇔ I will no longer overlook their sin.

LSV and YHWH says to me, “What are you seeing, Amos?” And I say, “A plumb-line”; and the Lord says: “Behold, I am setting a plumb-line in the midst of My people Israel, I no longer pass over to it.

FBV And the Lord asked me, “Amos, what do you see?” I replied, “A plumb line.” And the Lord God said, “I am placing a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel.[fn] I won't ignore their sins anymore.

LUT Und der HErr sprach zu mir: Was siehest du, Amos? Ich sprach: Eine Bleischnur. Da sprach der HErr zu mir: Siehe, ich will eine Bleischnur ziehen mitten durch mein Volk Israel und ihm nichts mehr übersehen,
  (And the LORD spoke to mir: What siehest you, Amos? I spoke: Eine Bleischnur. So spoke the LORD to mir: Siehe, I will one Bleischnur ziehen mitten through my people Israel and him nichts mehr übersehen,)

CLV Et dixit Dominus ad me: Quid tu vides, Amos? Et dixi: Trullam cæmentarii. Et dixit Dominus: [Ecce ego ponam trullam in medio populi mei Israël; non adjiciam ultra superinducere eum.
  (And he_said Master to me: Quid tu vides, Amos? And dixi: Trullam cæmentarii. And he_said Master: [Behold I ponam trullam in medio populi my/mine Israël; not/no adyiciam ultra superinducere him. )

BRN And the Lord said to me, What seest thou, Amos? And I said, An adamant. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I appoint an adamant in the midst of my people Israel: I will not pass by them any more.
