BSB § But before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, “Return to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the cities of Judah, and stay with him among the people, or go anywhere else that seems right.” Then the captain of the guard gave him a ration and a gift and released him.

OEB Go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed Governor of the cities of Judah: stay with him among the people or go wherever you choose." Then the commander of the guard dismissed him with a gift of provisions and a present.

NET Before Jeremiah could turn to leave, the captain of the guard added, “Go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon appointed to govern the towns of Judah. Go back and live with him among the people. Or go wherever else you choose.” Then the captain of the guard gave Jeremiah some food and a present and let him go.

LSV And while he does not reply—“Or turn back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or wherever it is right in your eyes to go—go.” And the chief of the executioners gives a ration and gift to him, and sends him away,

FBV Since Jeremiah didn't answer right away, Nebuzaradan went on, “Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan. He's been appointed as governor over Judah by the king of Babylon. You can stay with him with your people, or you can go anywhere you want.” The commander of the guard gave him a food allowance and some money and let him go.

T4T He said, “If you decide to stay here, go to Gedaliah. The King of Babylon appointed him to be the governor of Judah. You will be allowed to stay here with the people that he is governing. But you can do whatever you want to.”
¶ Then Nebuzaradan gave me some food and some money, and he allowed me to go.

LEB While he still had not turned back, Nebuzaradan added, “Return to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed in an official position over the towns of Judah, and stay with him in the midst of the people. Or to wherever it is right in your eyes to go, then go there.”[fn] Thenthe captain of the guard[fn] gave him an allowance of provisions and a present, and let him go.

So the chiefe captayne gaue him his expences with a rewarde, and let hym go.

And the maister of chyualrie yaf to hym metis, and yiftis, and lefte hym.
  (and nyle thou/you come with me. But dwelle thou/you with Godolie, son of Aicham, son of Saphan, whom the king of Babiloyne made souereyn to the cities of Yudah; therefore dwelle thou/you with him in the myddis of the people, ether go thou, whidir ever it plesith thee to go. LUT Denn weiter hinaus wird kein Wiederkehren sein. Darum magst du kehren zu Gedalja, dem Sohn Ahikams, des Sohns Saphans, welchen der König zu Babel gesetzt hat über die Städte in Juda, und bei demselbigen unter dem Volk bleiben; oder gehe, wohin dir‘s wohlgefällt. Und der Hauptmann gab ihm Zehrung und Geschenke und ließ ihn gehen.
  (Because weiter hinaus becomes kein Wiederkehren sein. Therefore magst you kehren to Gedalja, to_him son Ahikams, the sons Saphans, welchen the king to Babel gesetzt has above the cities in Yuda, and bei demselbigen under to_him people bleiben; or gehe, wohin dir‘s wohlgefällt. And the Hauptmann gab him Zehrung and Geschenke and let him/it gehen.)

CLV et mecum noli venire, sed habita apud Godoliam filium Ahicam filii Saphan, quem præposuit rex Babylonis civitatibus Juda: habita ergo cum eo in medio populi: vel quocumque placuerit tibi ut vadas, vade. Dedit quoque ei magister militiæ cibaria et munuscula, et dimisit eum.

BRN to fight against the Chaldeans, and to fill it with the corpses of men, whom I smote in mine anger and my wrath, and turned away my face from them, for all their wickedness:
