BSB § “Neither,” He replied. “I have now come as Commander of the LORD’s army.”
§ Then Joshua fell facedown in reverence [fn] and asked Him, “What does my Lord have to say to His servant?”

OEB And he said, Nay, but as Prince of the host of Jehovah have I now come. Then Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshipped, and said to him, What has my lord to say to his servant?

WEB He said, “No; but I have come now as commander of Yahweh’s army.”
¶ Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him, “What does my lord say to his servant?”

WMB He said, “No; but I have come now as commander of the LORD’s army.”
¶ Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him, “What does my lord say to his servant?”

NET He answered, “Truly I am the commander of the Lord’s army. Now I have arrived!” Joshua bowed down with his face to the ground and asked, “What does my master want to say to his servant?”

LSV And He says, “No, for I [am] Prince of YHWH’s host; now I have come”; and Joshua falls on his face to the earth, and pays respect, and says to Him, “What is my Lord speaking to His servant?”

FBV Joshua fell down with his face to the ground in awe. Then he said, “What orders does my lord have for his servant?”

T4T The man replied, “I am not planning to fight with you or against you. Instead, I am the commander of Yahweh’s army in heaven, and I have come down from there to assure you that Yahweh will help you.” Then Joshua bowed down with his face on the ground ◄to show his respect for/to worship► the man, and said to him, “Tell me what you want me to do.”

LEB And he said, “Neither. I have come now as the commander of Yahweh’s army.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and he bowed down[fn] and said to him, “Whatis my lord commanding his servant?”

MOF ”No,” he answered, ”I am here as the captain of the host of the Eternal.” Then Joshua fell on his face to the ground and worshipped, saying, ”And what has my Lord to say to his servant?”

GNV And he said, Nay, but as a captaine of the host of the Lord am I nowe come: then Ioshua fel on his face to the earth, and did worship, and saide vnto him, What sayth my Lord vnto his seruant?
  (And he said, Nay, but as a captaine of the host of the Lord am I now come: then Yoshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith/says my Lord unto his servant? )

CB He sayde: No, but I am the prynce of the LORDES hoost, and now am I come. Then fell Iosua downe to the earth vpon his face, & worshipped him, and sayde vnto him: What sayeth my LORDE vnto his seruaunt?
  (He said: No, but I am the prynce of the LORDS hoost, and now am I come. Then fell Yosua down to the earth upon his face, and worshipped him, and said unto him: What sayeth my LORD unto his servant?)

WYC To whom he answeride, Nay, but Y am prince of the `hoost of the Lord, and now Y come.
  (To whom he answered, Nay, but I am prince of the `hoost of the Lord, and now I come.)

LUT Er sprach: Nein, sondern ich bin ein Fürst über das Heer des HErrn und bin jetzt kommen. Da fiel Josua auf sein Angesicht zur Erde und betete an und sprach zu ihm: Was saget mein Herr seinem Knechte?
  (Er spoke: Nein, rather I bin a Fürst above the Heer the HErrn and bin jetzt kommen. So fiel Yosua on his Angesicht zur earth and betete at and spoke to ihm: What saget my Herr seinem Knechte?)

CLV Qui respondit: Nequaquam: sed sum princeps exercitus Domini, et nunc venio.
  (Who respondit: Nequaquam: but I_am prince exercitus Domini, and now venio. )

BRN And he said to him, I am now come, the chief captain of the host of the Lord. And Joshua fell on his face upon the earth, and said to him, Lord, what commandest thou thy servant?

BrLXX Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, ἐγὼ ἀρχιστράτηγος δυνάμεως Κυρίου, νυνὶ παραγέγονα. Καὶ Ἰησοῦς ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, δέσποτα, τί προστάσσεις τῷ σῷ οἰκέτῃ;
  (Ho de eipen autōi, egō arⱪistrataʸgos dunameōs Kuriou, nuni paragegona. Kai Yaʸsous epesen epi prosōpon epi taʸn gaʸn, kai eipen autōi, despota, ti prostasseis tōi sōi oiketaʸ? )
