OET (OET-RV) so the other apprentices told him, “We have seen the master.”
¶  But he replied, “I won’t believe that unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and I can put my finger into the marks and can put my hand into the gash on his side.”

OET-LV Therefore the other apprentices/followers were _saying to _him:
We _have _seen the master.
But he said to _them:
If I _may_ not _see the mark of _the nails in the hands of _him, and I _may _put the finger of _me into the mark of _the nails, and I _may _put the hand of _me into the side of _him, by _no _means I_˓will˒_ not _be _believing.
